A VERY STABLE GENIUS
President Trump is quick to tout his intelligence, his wealth, and his accomplishments. Today, he called himself a "very stable genius." At least half of America thinks he's an obnoxious blowhard, even crazy. I think there is a method to his madness.
Millions of American kids have been brainwashed by the public education system and modern culture to believe that their intelligence and accomplishments, like those of their parents, are a function of "privilege." Something to be ashamed of. Diligence and motivation have nothing at all to do with it. Students are now being tested across the country to determine their "privilege awareness."
President Trump is taking on Political Correctness in subtle ways most social justice warriors are too blinded by hatred to consider. By openly and vocally expressing his pride in his own self-driven merits, President Trump is trying to send a strong message to today's youth---Don't be ashamed of your virtues. Virtue is the fruit of rational thought. Diligence and motivation are virtues. Do we want our kids to fail because some of their peers are failures? Are they to be ashamed of their accomplishments because others have none? Are they supposed to go through life with half their brains tied behind their backs because others are intellectually challenged?
Where would mankind be if it weren't for the productive---the brain-i-acs, the hard-working, the creative, the entrepreneurs, the competent, who seek only an honest return for their efforts and the freedom to pursue their goals? In today's America and elsewhere, competence is an unforgiveable offense subject to merciless derision by cultural marxists in our public schools, colleges and universities, and the media. If it weren't for the competent, we'd all be hunter/gatherers living in stone-cold, fetid hovels.
There is work to be done, things to be invented, medical and scientific breakthroughs to be made. Are we to entrust our future to those who won't get out of bed, crack a book, or fill out a job application? To be sure, there are millions of poor and destitute, through no fault of their own, deserving of our help and compassion. We must find a way to differentiate between those who cannot work and those who will not work. Our current welfare system has failed to do this.
That said, we must never criticize or subject to systemic condemnation the hardworking, the ambitious, and the intellectually gifted. After all, our future is in their hands. They must be encouraged to reach for the stars and play every game like it's the seventh game of the World Series. Indeed, all of our children must be inspired to succeed to the extent of their abilities, and taught that failure is a life-lesson.
President Trump is right to take on this toxic mindset and warped value-system.
I know someone with a photographic memory, and it seems more like a curse than anything.
I remember most of the important things and forget most of the unimportant things, but for my friend, everything is there all the time with no filter.
As an example, I asked him if he had a mutual friend’s roommate’s phone number around by any chance, and he knew it off the top of his head. I asked how he knew it, and he said that it was only three digits off from his other friend’s number. He had dialed this number exactly once months earlier.
I can see how being a meter reader could be a stable, low-key job for someone with that ability.
The never-trump mind-set is deranged. It consumes people.

Seems like a curse, does it?
He seems pretty effective to me.
He answered your question quite directly, did he not?
And without tripping over how many squares he used when he last went #2.
His filters are in tip-top shape. No problem in that department!
How was Trump supposed to reply? With something week, such as I am not a moron? If he is a moron, how did he defeat the smartest woman in America?
It is really funny when Trump mocks his critics and they respond in a way that lays bare their lack of rational thought and their low humor intelligence.
Gates is an interesting case. I have met him twice and watched him for decades. He is very smart but not in an Einstein kind of way. Gates is very good at seeing opportunities that can be exploited and find the right people to do that. I have also been around very high IQ people of the Einstein variety. Most are very good at their field but lack common sense or experience.
It gets the leftists distracted while he goes about making MAGA without their interference.
My sense is that many times Pres. Trump says things to pull the medias chain. They cant resist and rise to the bait every time.
It sure does.
There are times when we have Leftists like Obama in there, that I ask myself if we don’t get to that point at times.
The truth is, we do have actual legitimate beefs with him.
Was he a citizen? Can we see his critical papers to verify it? Was he conspiring with terrorists? He had them into the Oval Office. Those things and much much more, are why I believe we don’t qualify like the TDS folks do.
Nice comment. Reminds me of the famous one I always loved:
Good story.
I know a stupid genius. She has the IQ of genius but voted for Hillary and spouts a lot of senseless leftist things. She thinks her high IQ makes her better than others. She’s her own god. In reality that’s not smart at all.
Is she good at anything?
Your sickness, they say, and your puny habit, require that you do this or avoid that, but know that your life is a flitting state, a tent for a night, and do thou, sick or well, finish that stint.
You are sick, but you shall not be worse, and the universe, which holds you dear, shall be the better.
We must be very suspicious of the deceptions of time. It takes a good deal of time to eat or to sleep, or to earn a hundred dollars, and a very little time to entertain a hope and an insight which becomes the light of our life.
We dress our garden, eat our dinners, discuss the household with our wives, and these things make no impression, are forgotten next week; but in the solitude to which every man is always returning, he has a sanity and revelations, which in his passage into new worlds he will carry with him.
Never mind the ridicule, never mind the defeat: up again, old heart! -- it seems to say, -- there is victory yet for all justice...
the true romance which the world exists to realize, will be the transformation of genius into practical power.
Experience from Essays: Second Series (1844)
She seems to be a successful tattoo artist.
How do you know she’s actually a genius?
This is true of high IQ children. I also would include gifted or talented [in the true meaning of the words] children, as well as children with scores or talents on the lower ends of the spectrum.
Parents have to *helicopter* over these kids, and make sure their educational needs are met. This takes time and a lot of diligence.
By her own account and by what her friends tell me. Apparently she tested. I didn’t ask for definitive proof.
