During Paddocks stay at the hotel, room service and housekeeping had contact with Paddock or entered his suite more than 10 times, according to a statement sent to CNN from MGM Resorts International, which owns the Nevada hotel. The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the extent of the hotel staffs interactions with the gunman. Paddock opened fire from his 32nd-floor hotel room onto a crowd attending an outdoor country musical festival. He killed himself before police breached his hotel room door. Hotel staff performs a welfare check after two consecutive days where a Do-Not-Disturb sign has been displayed on the door, the MGM Resorts statement said, and the guest has not interacted in-person or by phone with housekeeping or other hotel staff over the same period.

Mandalay Bay staff had numerous interactions with Stephen Paddock every day at the resort, the statement said, including a room service delivery and a call with housekeeping on October 1, all of which were normal in nature.
As a result of these interactions, there was no need to conduct a welfare check, it said.
In the aftermath of the mass shooting the deadliest in modern US history questions arose over how Paddock had not raised the suspicions of hotel staff. Police found 23 guns inside his suite and discovered Paddock brought in excess of 10 suitcases to the room over several days, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.
Since the shooting, more than 450 people have filed lawsuits against MGM Resorts; Mandalay Corp.; Live Nation Entertainment, which promoted the music festival; Slide Fire Solutions, maker of the bump stock devices Paddock used in the shooting, and the gunmans estate.

Hotel trying to CYA.
Gee... 1-2 suitcases a day, maybe 2-3 guns a day.
Just what people have been saying all along. The idea that it would be hard to bring 23 guns up to a hotel suite in Las Vegas has always been silly.
A good tipper?
Is it true that survivors of the massacre are being picked off one by one?
Do they really have any choice ?
They are just one of the big pockets who are targets of this debacle which we are still not being told the truth of.
When do we find out “officially” that Jesus-the-guard is an illegal? Hotel used him for security (hah!) when he couldn’t get a carry permit. Being illegal and all. Sure hoofed it back to me-he-co right after. Quick turnaround trip, hush hush. Getting his legal status maybe? Entering properly for once?
When that shoe drops, look out. Hotel extremely liable. “He could have returned fire, if he was carrying” will sayeth the ambulance chasers...hotel hiring people might even be criminally liable.
I hope so.
The FUZZ does nothing but LIE to us.....WHEN are we going to REBEL?? Never...we have homes and jobs and they KNOW that! They LIE with IMPUNITY!
I have to believe there is a better story than the crap we’ve been fed.
The desert will have reclaimed Vegas long before all the mysteries are solved.
There was a shooting in Las Vegas? Who knew?
If the theory is true, MGM will reduce it's liability tremendously, placing most of the burden on the Saudi government, which just confiscated hundreds of billions of dollars from those who (according to the theory) carried out the attack. The Saudi government can easily cover the few billions owed to the Vegas-Route 91 victims.

That it was ...
Sounds incredible, yet plausible.
Our law enforcement agencies should be telling us the outline and details of this massive criminal act even if an accomplice is still being pursued.
The only thing that should stop them is corruption in their own operations. Oh, I guess.....
the theory that the shooting was part of a botched assassination attempt against the Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman.
Why would an assassin that fails, then waste time and effort shooting down dozens of people who are not related?
We can spin lots of conspiracy theories that sound plausible but have no evidence in support of them.
I hesitate to do so, for fear that someone will take an experiment seriously.
How about this: A Las Vegas real estate developer was looking to make a killing, so he set up the shooter as the fall guy, so he could grab Los Vegas real estate at rock bottom prices!/S
I didn't say it was the truth.
I said that it's in MGM Resort International's best interest to see if there is any truth to it because it has the potential -- if true -- to save their bacon.
capiche?
Nice for them to give out info to possible snipers on how to avoid getting their room checked by taking the do not disturb sign off the door after two days.
