But just remember an age-old truism about the irreconcilable conflict in being libertarian: it is impossible to be both a social liberal and a fiscal conservative, because the social liberal side of your badly divided self will make you spend like a fiscal liberal.
There's a pro-potsie proponent here who demands "education and rehabilitation for potheads, not incarceration."
It puts the lie that your side is about freedom, but exposes one of many truths about potheadism: it's just more socialism, both socially and fiscally.
What good is HAARP and MK-ULTRA for reading their minds, if we can’t follow up with some fun pre-dawn raids?

Paranoia, the destroyer.
Paranoia, the destroyer.
You compared it to alcohol. And hello by the way. Hope the new year is treating you well.
Years ago I knew a woman who had breast ca and wasn’t doing well GI wise with the chemo. She lived next door to an editor of Playboy. So she asked him to get her some pot.
She told me she came back from chemo, smoked the pot, still threw up but was so stoned she flushed her dentures!
I hope your aquaintance with the cancer, chemo, negative pot experience, and lost dentures is feeling and doing better.
She thought it was funny. I thought it was a sweet story.
No, it got her in the end.
She was a hardcore hippy! At 65 she spent a month backpacking in India. The only progressive I ever love. She was a fabulous nut! Kind and warm.

Incarceration costs taxpayers nothing?
I have more progressive friends than any conservative should have, but we all trust each other and take care of each other, and that's what matters most.
It increases appetite in those people dying of cancer and/ or on chemotherapy for same.

So do cocaine and heroin. What is your point? That getting high makes a person feel good and people who feel good eat so we should legalize pot. What about heroin and cocaine?
Whatever. The n00b isn’t the only obnoxious kiwi boy I see.
I’m not talking about heroine or cocaine.
Make a thread and talk about heroine and cocaine if you want to.
This thread is about marijuana, and my point was about how it helps people with disease related problems.
I’m not really interested in your useless opinion anyway, because no one needs your permission or approval to treat themselves as they and their doctors see fit.
I pointed out that your argument works as well for the pro-cocaine and pro-heroin groups and you told me that, according to internet laws that exist solely in your head, I may not speak of it. That is awesome.
No, you didn’t. You clearly don’t know anything about cocaine, or heroine or their effects on appetite, otherwise you would know that neither have a thing to do with my argument.
You are basically just talking out of your rear end, so yeah, go ahead and stop speaking. Please.

Here you go. As I am not totally without compassion, I did your homework for you so you might not make such an extravagant fool out of yourself in the future.
Read. Learn.
I work daily with cocaine and heroin addicts (and weed, opi, bzo, m-amp...). Posting those two links with your melodramatic wording is right in line with your style.... Was one of those links to the Daily Mail?? Jesus, son...
No, seriously: Thank you for your in-depth research. Clearly you know so much now after reading those two, brief, online articles from sites that also rate Reese Witherspoons Emmy chances. Ill get right on to reading up on what some crack journalist wrote to meet his deadline and see if I can match your extensive knowledge. Wink.

You’re welcome!
And you should get right on reading them, especially since you “work” with addicts daily. Seems like you ought to have the most basic knowledge regarding the subject, which you clearly do not, but you will never be able to match my extensive knowledge, because it comes from experience.
And if you don’t like the links, why don’t you link me proof that cocaine and heroine are not appetite suppressants.
Go ahead, I’ll be waiting, Mizz Expurt.
Wink.

I am 63, Republican and conservative and I have my medical marijuana license and use CBD creams for recurrent back spasms. The creams are non-psychoactive meaning they don't make me high. They have been extremely helpful. If you do some research you will also learn that states that have marijuana available have lower overdoses from opioids. People do not OD on marijuana- medical or recreational- on the other hand, opioids are a huge, national problem. There are most certainly benefits to the use of marijuana. It is unfair and unwise to assume everything about it is bad.
One more thing about legal Marijuana- I live in Colorado and voted to legalize it to get it out of the hands of gangs and cartels.
