Last year, students at UC San Diego were protesting the election of Trump and marched out onto a nearby highway. One of the students was hit by a car. Now she is suing the school for not stopping the protest. You couldn’t make this up.

The University of California-San Diego is now embroiled in a personal injury lawsuit after an election protest gone wrong.
Mariana Flores, a sophomore at UCSD, was demonstrating against Donald Trump’s victory on a busy San Diego freeway when a vehicle hit her. The accident crushed her pelvis, fractured her leg, and caused other serious injuries, reported The Guardian campus newspaper.
Flores, in her suit filed in late November, partly blames campus officials for her injury, arguing they should have stopped the protest before it got dangerous, according to news reports.
Flores’ attorney did not respond to requests from The College Fix seeking comment. A UC San Diego spokesperson said that the university could not comment on pending litigation.
The Nov. 2016 protest had began at “Library Walk” and journeyed through campus. Next, demonstrators ended up on the I-5, a very large and busy eight-laned freeway that cuts through San Diego.
This young social justice warrior has no one to blame but the Democrat party and herself.

Best school response will be to boot any protesters from school to protect themselves from such litigation, which they are likely to be found guilty when their professor employees likely urged the students to go protest, the school gave them facilities to plan protest, and so forth.
When I was a kid in Detroit, we learned to play on the side-streets.
She won the stupid prize and now she wants a big refund for it.
Well, they or the civil authorities SHOULD have stopped it, but I doubt whether the “you should have saved me from myself” defense is going to stand very well. In fact, it doesn’t sound like she’s really got a leg to stand on.
You can’t fix stupid.
But you can facilitate its rapid demise.....................

I hope the dumbass kid wins. I really hope that some professor told them or hinted that they should protest and that the dumbass kid sues the professor too.
Progressive colleges should be held accountable for many of the things that are wrong with America. The parents of the dumbass should be sued too for not teaching it that physics trumps outrage.

Yes, what you said, or have the students and their parents all sign some disclaimers that the school is not liable for any consequences related to the student participating in protests....

Frankly, I have no idea who to root for. I want either the commie indoctrination university to lose millions, or the stupid chick to be in hock to the lawyer for millions...
