The Pacifica Foundation, a Berkeley-based community radio network that includes the progressive radio station KPFA, is in financial crisis because of mounting debt — and is now teetering on the edge of bankruptcy.
Pacifica, a nonprofit founded in 1946 by conscientious objectors from World War II, is the mother of America’s alternative radio, pioneering decades of left-leaning public affairs programs and community-based music.

Pacifica was almost always a Marxist/communist operation. The pacifists always lose out to the better organized Communist Party (until recently), better funded reds, and more fanatic Marxists.

It’s impossible for me to overemphasize just how liberal that area is:
if liberal radio won’t work there, it absolutely will work nowhere.

To be fair, every so often they let someone with a really interesting viewpoint take the mic (Gary Null comes to mind, although you really needed to be careful with him). In large measure, though, most of their on-air talent would likely consider MSNBC part of the "Corporate Media."

Every few years, there is a revolt where some of the commies running the station are accused by the worker commies of not being commie enough. There is then a circular firing squad, bad blood, and then a new crew of commies comes in.

America's Progressive Left and nanny state can only exist because our printed, unbacked, debt-based monetary system, courtesy of the Federal Reserve.
Too bad all those little lefties have to go get real jobs. Thankfully, because of our great President Donald J. Trump and his MAGA agenda, there are a lot more jobs out there to get, millions of them. So, be grateful for President Trump you lefties!

Soros was largely a pass through for funding the Left from the US Treasury. He had to make more from Government favors than he kicked back to their cronies.
Lots of other “private” contributors are in the same boat. They were giving money as a form of kickback, for the favors and funds they got from the Government - or they were forced to by shakedown operations using the threat of Government powers against them.
Not only do the Democrats no longer have Government assets or policies to sell, but now leftist donors risk drawing negative attention from the Republicans now in charge.
DNC fundraising is a wreck as well.
Every few years I would tune into KPFA just to confirm their continual Creepozoid Idiocracy. When Air America ‘debuted’ on Four radio stations, KPFA was one of them.

Locally, I occasionally enjoy a “blues” fix from the local Pacifica outlet. Just listen to the sounds and tune out the rabble ramble.
...and all they wanted was ‘peace’.
I used to listen to them for kicks 20 years ago when I visited California. I mentioned it to a friend who also said he listened to them...but it wasn’t for kicks, it was for instructions...no more friendship.
