Former White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon’s hopes of leading a revolt in the Republican Party this year suffered a severe blow Thursday as his allies rebuked and abandoned him following a nasty public break with President Trump.
Candidates who once embraced Bannon distanced themselves from his efforts, groups aligned with his views sought separation, and his most important financial backer, the billionaire Mercer family, which has championed him for years, announced that it was severing ties.
Even his position as chairman of Breitbart News, a website he has referred to as one of his most effective “weapons,” was being reviewed by the company’s leadership, according to people familiar with the talks — a move that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders publicly encouraged at Thursday’s White House news briefing.
But it was the rare statement from Rebekah Mercer, daughter of investor Robert Mercer, that hit hardest and, combined with Trump’s fury, has left Bannon isolated from the two power centers that elevated him from a fringe commentator to an office in the White House.

Bannon was leading the charge against the entrenched swamp.

He’s said “I love Donald Trump” but would not deny the Wolff claims.

That is what I read earlier, as well, about what Bannon had to say.
If Bannon did indeed blurt out the cringe-worthy comments he allegedly offered Woolf for his “tell-all” book, he has an ego that overpowers his brain. We’ve seen too much of that lately. Trump needs people who are above all AMERICA FIRST. There is no room at all for people like Gannon is alleged to be. They learned NOTHING from the Scaramucci debacle?

If the quotes are real then Bannon doesn’t love Trump and doesn’t think he’s a great man. If the quotes are false and Bannon doesn’t deny them then he doesn’t love Trump and doesn’t think he’s a great man.
In any case it’s beginning to look like Trump’s jab that Bannon has “lost his mind” is not hyperbole but rather a simple fact of the matter.

Bannon needs to retract the statements if they are not true or misquoted. If he did say those things to a reporter, he’s a fool that lacks self control and the MAGA movement will be better off without him in the long run.

One cannot rule actual mental illness. People suffer through lives of schizophrenia and if they stay on their meds, can lead a fruitful life. But if something gets out of balance, the wheels just come off every aspect of their life.

I just looked at the USA Today article where Bannon calls Trump a “great man.” It also says that Bannon “brushes off hoopla over tell-all book and blames the left-wing media.”
Bannon is a loon. I doubt schizophrenia but he looks like an alcoholic and his words and actions seem a lot like a binge-drinking alkie with alcoholic dementia setting in to me.
Breitbart, real constitutional conservatives support Trump. So feel free to dump Bannon. We will even visit your website when you do.
