McDonald's looks pretty golden-headed into 2018.
The combination of McDonald's planned rollout of fresh, never-frozen beef, its recent relaunch of its Dollar Menu and woes at other restaurant chains could help the restaurant boost its same-store sales and grab more market share in the industry.
The burger giant's stock ended 2017 up more than 41 percent, the largest stock move in the restaurant industry during the year, and more than one analyst is calling for more gains in the new year.

you are stating your ignorance and patting yourself on the back for adhering to Free Republic anti McDonalds doctrine.
McDonalds exists and thrives because the food is good and reasonably priced. McDonalds is one of America’s great corporations
No ignorance on the matter, you don’t know me so don’t make that leap. I have no agenda pro or anti with McDonald’s. I posted this as a business story. I prefer making burgers at home. I do prefer breakfast options when appropriate.
The fries were originally cooked in beef tallow. I dont care if the workers speak English as long as they provide decent service.
The Tampa area has some really good storesall owned and run by the same (Casper) family. Decent restaurants are all about the management.
Probably true - the reason they got rid of the dollar menu in the first place was they were getting killed - everybody was eating from the dollar menu and skipping the up menu featured meals. I’m kind of surprised they’re bringing it back.
Quart de livre avec fromage, at least that’s what was on the box for the one I got in Montreal in 1976.
Caught the reference though.
“How am I 25 lbs. overweight and not 125 lbs. overweight, I do not know...?”
no kidding. but even worse is the threat of diabetes and Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) - fatty liver disease.
liver scans were showing me headed in that direction, so i finally cleaned up my diet: no sugars, no grains, no fruits, no starchy root vegetables, etc. Once I’ve lost 20 more pounds (slow going), I’ll add back some beans for carbs, and maybe some brown rice, though eating brown rice is like eating candy for me.
btw, turns out metabolism of fructose (1/2 of table sugar and more than 1/2 of high fructose corn syrup) is identical to the metabolism of ethanol, so no wonder excess fructose induces liver dysfunction:

My white bread story took place many years ago. I tried whole wheat and liked the substance and taste more.
When I go to restaurants I eat white bread. I like to use it more in dipping soup or some other substance.
As for drinking, I’ve cut way way back. I like to have a few brew once in a while, but I’m now limiting myself to one or two of them.
As for Mickey D’s, I’m about like you. I just don’t like seeing a business piled on for no good reason.
Yeah, I agree with most of your sentiment regarding good deals, whether they originate with the app, paper coupons, or a friendly fry worker who always scoops me a large instead of medium (it happens). It seems the heyday for the app was back in the early fall, when MCD was raising cash with those two-for-one sandwich deals. Yeah, everyone liked the app then. But that disappeared and now it is so full of mobile order, Uber delivery, and seasonal glitter you can’t even find the deals (which are not all that great anyway in my locality). Plus uses almost 100MB on my low and phone, which hurts.
Makes a turd :)
