McDonald's looks pretty golden-headed into 2018.
The combination of McDonald's planned rollout of fresh, never-frozen beef, its recent relaunch of its Dollar Menu and woes at other restaurant chains could help the restaurant boost its same-store sales and grab more market share in the industry.
The burger giant's stock ended 2017 up more than 41 percent, the largest stock move in the restaurant industry during the year, and more than one analyst is calling for more gains in the new year.

Two all beef patties special sauce, lettuce cheese, pickles onions on a sesame seed bun.
Here in Maine I sometimes get two for the price of one coupons for Egg McMuffins.
Years ago (the mid 1970’s) when I lived in Santa Barbara, California, my Dad knew the guy who invented the Egg McMuffin.
My Dad told me that McDonalds didn’t pay the man any money for the Egg McMuffin. The man was a McDonald’s franchisee in Santa Barbara, and for his reward for inventing the Egg McMuffin, McDonald’s gave him a “territory”...all of Santa Barbara County. He was the franchise owner of every and any McDonalds restaurant in Santa Barbara County.
From what I understood at the time, McDonalds never awarded “territories,” at least back in those days.
I forgot the man’s name, but I saw his obituary on line several years ago.
Love the chicken biscuit!
I don’t think I’ve had that.
Hmm, may have to give it a try.
When my grandma made pie crusts she only used lard. Homemade taco shells sound delicious!
You will love them ; )
McDonalds has the best Fast Food App.
Haven’t checked out the Dollar Menu yet.
Thanks. Probably will.
Well, there is that too isn’t there.
“Theyre the only place open on Christmas and New Years, when all the other places are closed. At least in my area.”
That’s interesting; here New Years is just another business day and no restaurant was closed (except ones that close on Monday anyway). But on Christmas, no quick service chain was open other than Jack-in-the-Box. Thanksgiving was sort of between the two and McDonalds was open for breakfast only.
You’re the first person I’ve heard of who likes the app.
Sausage and Egg McMuffin is yummy. They use real butter on the English Muffin.
Being the cheap SOB I am, I only buy them when they have the BOGO Deal on the App or the 2 for $5.00 Special.
The Artisan Crispy Chicken with Guacamole is very good, but only when they have a Deal on them. Too expensive otherwise.
One thing that always made me wonder, why do most McDonalds not have Root Beer? They have Coke, Diet Coke, Mr. Pibb, Sprite and a few other drinks, but no Root Beer.
I just reread my Post and realized I spend way too much time at McDonalds. LOL
“Hamburgers....the cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.”
One of Trump’s favorite restaurants. He keeps them in business.
I got the App when they had a Deal every time the Angels hit a Home Run at a home Game. It was an Artisan Sandwich FREE with any purchase.
I walked out of there with a FREE Sandwich worth about five bucks and all I had to buy was a $1 Large Coke. McDonalds ended up changing the Deal and requiring a purchase of a Medium Fry to get the Free Sandwich.
They wised up when it seemed the Angels were getting a Home Run every time they played a home Game. LOL
They seem to have a lot of great Deals on the App.
I was driving a lot for work and it made grabbing a bite convenient and cheap while I was on the road.
No complaints from me as long as I’m not paying retail. Some of the Menu prices they charge for their Large Sandwiches are ridiculous. I can get a Double Double at In and Out Burger or less than the regular price of a Big Mac.
No comparison in taste and quality, but at the right price and being everywhere, McDonalds has their niche.
I don't eat at Mickey D's much but get the occasional hankering for a Big Mac and fries....
I’d think about eating at McDonalds if the actual product they serve actually looks like the pictures in the advertisements rather than something that was run over by a truck.
I tried it when it first hit their menu, yes it's very good. I think better than Chik fil A myself and that's saying something.
I try and stay out of McDonalds because the McGriddles and the Sausage, Egg & Cheese McMuffins are just sooooo good for breakfast. Those aren't in my diet plan anymore, so I'm not going to tempt myself.
I was in a McDonald’s for a $1 coffee recently and considered an egg sandwich if one was an option on a dollar/discount menu. It seemed every time I glanced behind the counter help at the screens, the electronic board switched too quickly. I opted for the coffee only.
