BREAKING: Major power outage at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas #CES @OANN https://t.co/3eROxXGdjn— Patrick Hussion (@PatrickHussion) January 10, 2018
It is sad. My daughter, who lives in the area, said most of the fire/flood victims are rich and don’t want any help. But my grandkids are friends with some of these kids and it was hard on them, understandable, losing their pets and horses, and now if they survived that, this. Sad thing is that their parents will probably tell them this was all do to climate change.
Oh the inhumanity, who is going to serve the Slurpee’s?
A job American’s refuse to do.
ICE is very busy indeed.
Busting the ring of smuggling in pregnant women to have babies here and then due to “chain migration” bring their 500 or so close relatives in.
Go Sheriff Joe!!!!
Trump tells Secretary Nielsen never to mention 7 years to build the wall again.
Her response: “Yes sir.”
The United States needs the security of the Wall on the Southern Border, which must be part of any DACA approval. The safety and security of our country is #1!
Hmmmm...wasn’t there just a 7-Eleven store, in UT, where an ‘employee’ is alleged to have possibly infected up to 2,000 people with Hep A???
I still don’t know why POTUS chose Nielsen for DHS. She has an Open Borders/Dreamers history problem, doesn’t she?
Our energy infrastructure? 🤷♀️

Power went out around 11:15 a.m. local time, just as the day was ramping up. Attendees reported on social media that power was restored about two hours later around 1 p.m. local time.
According to CNET, Central Hall houses the giant booths for the show mainstays, including Sony, Samsung, LG and Intel. Around noon, security guards reportedly refused entry to the entire Convention Center.

Thousands of people attending the world’s biggest consumer technology show got a chance to test the battery life of the latest gadgets Wednesday when some showrooms and hallways went dark inside the vast Las Vegas Convention Center.
Dozens of reporters queued quietly for lunch boxes in a darkened press room. The room was dimly lit thanks to emergency overhead lights and the glow of laptops running on battery power.
Several brands used the opportunity to pitch their wares. One vendor invited people to visit its booth to check out a battery pack, for instance. Intel had a tongue-in-cheek announcement for a product called “Blackout.”
On Twitter, pictures of phone charging stations circulated, with some users gloating as they pointed out and giggled at the misfortune of folks who had their phones locked inside, not charging.
So close, yet so far away. It’s funny to see a phone held captive in what’s essentially an electricity vending machine as its owner paces back and forth. Until, of course, it happens to you.

LAS VEGAS - More than 6,000 customers are experiencing power outages in the Las Vegas valley, according to NV Energy.
The outages are affecting several neighborhoods, with the hardest hit areas in Henderson, North Las Vegas, Downtown Las Vegas and Enterprise and.
NV Energy says weather knocked down 27 power poles in Henderson, causing what the utility calls an “extended outage” that could last up to 24 hours.
At one point, power outages affected nearly 11,000 customers. NV Energy is working to restore power to the remaining homes.
The Southern Nevada Red Cross has opened an emergency shelter for people affected by the power outage. The shelter is located at the Heritage Park Senior Center at 300 Racetrack Road.
Thanks for finding and posting this NIKK.
I heard about it on the radio and was searching in the wrong place for info, ICE instead of Homeland Security.
Most people don't realize that. They think what you sign at the wedding means you are married. But if you or whoever officiates doesn't take it to the city to be registered you are NOT married as far as they are concerned.
Nielsen is a mystery to me as well.
I think her saying this at this meeting was not appreciated by Trump, with the Dems there (who oppose the Wall)and Trump let her have it in a nice but firm way.
Trump builds tall buildings with complex systems, so building a wall is nothing to him and rightly so. The logistics are not that complex as what he is used to.
So Nielsen should have immediately said, I have this report sir and I sent it back immediately as I don’t believe the cost and schedule are realistic.
She has been in the job long enough to know what the right answers are.
Trump handled it the same way he would handle it at a construction project meeting. When you know the right answer you don’t let anyone BS you. It puts everyone on notice not to even try it.
Nielsen better shape up or she will be replaced.
