More than a dozen NFL players protested during or right after the national anthem on Sunday, the final weekend of the leagues regular season.
Nine Seattle Seahawks players sat or knelt during the anthem prior to the teams game, as they have throughout the season. Michael Bennett, Marcus Smith, Frank Clark, Dion Jordan and others were among those demonstrating, The Associated Press reported.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews remained off the field during the national anthem before his teams game, while his teammates, Brian Orakpo and Jurrell Casey, raised their fists once the anthem ended.
Kenny Stills of the Miami Dolphins also knelt prior to his teams game while the anthem played.
San Francisco 49ers players Reuben Foster, Marquise Goodwin, Louis Murphy and Eric Reid all knelt during the anthem before their teams game, according to The AP.
Reid, who has protested prior to each 49ers game this season, said in a recent interview that he understands teams might not sign him in the coming offseason because of his decision to kneel during the anthem.

Oh I hope they broadcast it. Show it for what it is.
Otherwise the SJW’s will have to kneel all through the game.
Bye, bye NFL. Won’t miss ya.
These MFL players have been dead to me for a long time. Good luck to the real protesters with real oppression.
Had Atlanta lost, that moron move of shoving St. Louis’ Q. Would have loomed large as a fitting end to their season.
And there is is. The raw truth.
Along with a swift kick in the rear from a long line of veterans.
Who cares? Get a life. There are many fun and useful things to with your life than watch these anti-American losers. Never again.
Citizens of Iran fight for freedom
NFL punk players act like bitches
Wondering what stunt will be pulled at the half time show. Black Power/Marxist fist salutes?
Are those losers in the NATIONAL FELONS lEAGUE still acting like spoiled brats? I could care less who wins, loses, breaks a leg or drops over for no apparent reason. I’m done with them entirely. Life still goes on without any of them.
Well, if it was Beyonce again......
I won’t be watching. I’ll have to wait until somebody tells me.
I haven’t seen a set of downs all season - except if I’ve seen one down while the local liberal news is on, which I avoid 99% of the time.
I don’t know the score of even one game from yesterday.
While not a rabid fan I watched certain games, primarily the Panthers.
Can’t tell you the score of the Panthers game with Atlanta, I think.
Amazing how quickly I’ve lost interest in the NFL.
I didn’t watch the game. Did Bennett get another stupid penalty that turned the tide? It seems to be his specialty - I have been tired of his shenanigans for years. He shoots off his mouth and never accepts responsibility for all the times he has jumped offsides and cost us points or even games. It’s always someone else’s fault - never his!
When Russell Wilson was young, eager and a positive role model the team was great. Once he started dating Ciara and spending more time with Bennett, his whole attitude, and that of the team completely changed. Such a shame for so many reasons!
You talkin' to me?
Too bad it’s not the final season.
Let them get real jobs.
:) Yep, with STD's.
Will not be watching it.
This picture truly is worth much more than 1,000 words.
It summarizes the state of our society and the Country.
Though the media has tried to glorify Kapernick and the other over-paid thugs, I am so glad the Country is commenting with reallocation of their most valuable resources—time and money :)
The media embraces and pimps antichrist behavior and ideas.
Never kid yourself folks. This is the root of the “love” for pResident Obama and all that he did and does. He is a substitute messiah, hence the actual worship by the liberals.
Well, at least we have the infamous “butt fumble” to look back on :)
The playoffs beckon! Ready Set Ignore!
