For the third year in a row, Baltimore, Md., has had more than 300 murders, reaching a new record of murders per number of residents in 2017.
Some residents attribute the high murder rate to relaxed police patrols in the city following high-profile cases of police brutality. Officers have backed off in neighborhoods, like the one where Freddie Gray was arrested.

Not enough good guys with guns.
I live in a downscale suburb about a mile north of the Baltimore City line. Most of my neighbors are blacks who have moved in during the past decade. All of them came from low-rent city rowhouses or apartments. I know because I check the land records on-line. There have been no murders or shootings in my hood for the thirteen years we’ve been here. Now I also check names of city shooting perps and victims via Maryland Judiciary Case Search dot org. As soon as names are published, I usually check them out and 90% or more of the victims are black and 99% have records for drug possession, armed robbery, aggravated assault, handgun violations, parole violations etc. The suspects run about 100% record-wise. Another interesting stat to me, at least, is that about 80% of the shooters and shootees have paternity and child support cases. The bottom line is that most of the killings are of those who are just like the killers. Actually, a net gain for the law-abiding amongst us. The bonus is that the dead will no longer be able to breed.
What.?
Can't imagine why...
What happened to “Pigs in a blanket”?
There is a business there in the background called “Fast Refunds”———what the heck do they do?
.
Black people killing other black people, but but... it’s white racism.
Hands off the chosen class.
Probably tax returns.
That's for the people who get a tax refund from the gov'ment even though they don't have any income. For a chunk of your return money, they'll give you $$$ FAST so you can go buy your dope TODAY...
From the article - a quote from a pastor in Baltimore when asked whether the community wanted police to back off after the death of Freddie Gray.
“No. That represented our progressives, our activists, our liberal journalists, our politicians, but it did not represent the overall community.”
Well, then YOU as a pastor need to stand up from your pulpit and tell people to stop making excuses for criminal behavior, start holding their children accountable, quit demonizing the police and start working WITH them!
Hey, they took care of the problem when the statues came down (snark)
Ill never forget the video of (400 pound female) welfare recipients waddling down to alternate post offices to pick up their wefate checks, after their men had burned down their local post offices during the early 1990s (Rodney Kong) Los Angeles riots.
The people in these areas remind me of the same dynamic.
Trash the government, trash the police, and then,... oops, maybe we do need you after all.
Just what Freepers, Sheriff Clarke, the NRA, and nearly all criminologists predicted. Duh!
Thanks-——I’ll bet the business keeps a nice chunk of change for itself.
.
Blame everybody else. Don’t take responsibility.
They did indeed. So now they have lower police presence. And the higher murder rate? Well you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs!
But at least they aren’t getting killed by cops!
