"That kids house that I swatted is on the news," tweeted "SWauTistic" -- before he realized he'd gotten somebody killed. Security researcher Brian Krebs reveals what happened next.
When it became apparent that a man had been killed as a result of the swatting, Swautistic tweeted that he didn't get anyone killed because he didn't pull the trigger. Swautistic soon changed his Twitter handle to @GoredTutor36, but KrebsOnSecurity managed to obtain several weeks' worth of tweets from Swautistic before his account was renamed. Those tweets indicate that Swautistic is a serial swatter -- meaning he has claimed responsibility for a number of other recent false reports to the police. Among the recent hoaxes he's taken credit for include a false report of a bomb threat at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that disrupted a high-profile public meeting on the net neutrality debate. Swautistic also has claimed responsibility for a hoax bomb threat that forced the evacuation of the Dallas Convention Center, and another bomb threat at a high school in Panama City, Fla, among others.

Antifa type, sounds like.
Terrorist plain and simple.
Swautistic needs to be indicted, tried, and convicted of Murder One.
Swatting is either murder or attempted murder and should be prosecuted as such.
sounds like a crime
I hope all my fellow Freepers do, though.
Be Safe.
This has been all over the local news, very sad. I feel bad for the victims mother and the police officer who pulled the trigger, thinking the victim was going for a weapon. Neither one knew it was a prank. This SWauTistic needs to be tried and hung for what he did.

What a world we live in where someone can prank call the cops to someone else’s address who is then shot dead by police the moment he opens his door.
The guy playing video games half a country away or the cops who shot an unarmed and totally innocent man in the head as soon as he opened the door?
I was being sued by my neighbor and he was losing, so he called in a 911 call that he had caught me looking in his “little children’s” bedroom window. (I was trying to get a restraining order as he’d purchased a gun and was showing it to the neighbors saying how threatened I made him feel. I wasn’t able to get a restraining order as you can only do that if you are related or if “little children” are threatened. So, he was retaliating.) I had gotten home from work and was dressed in slacks, a long sleeve shirt and a tie. When I opened the door the cop was obviously ready to draw on me. The moment he saw how I was dressed, he relaxed. I was able to prove I hadn’t left the house since getting home as I’d installed video aimed at my doors and around the house.
I easily could have been shot, which I think was the intent. I asked the cop to arrest him for filing a false complaint. He said he couldn’t. As it had happened before, I handed him a copy of the law. He said, “Oh, we don’t enforce that law.”
Eventually, after winning three lawsuits, I had to sell my house and move as the situation kept escalating. Some people are too crazy to deal with. (The sheriff was a Democrat and they don’t protect people. As one deputy told me, “We’ll arrest him after he kills you.” Seriously.)
>>What a world we live in where someone can prank call the cops to someone elses address who is then shot dead by police the moment he opens his door.
We’ve reached the point where cops are saying “If they run they’re VC. If they don’t run, they’re well-disciplined VC.”
Only because police are routinely shooting and killing where there is not a threat and not even justified use of force of any kind much less deadly force.
The responsibility of this incident falls squarely and entirely on the police and no where else. If anything the "swatter" is doing society a favor by bringing to light how out of control and dangerous the police themselves have become.
The "swatter" needs to be held accountable for a false report and of course if he has made bomb threats and such but lets not get distracted. THE POLICE ARE THE REASON AN INNOCENT MAN IS DEAD.
There had to have been a few levels of failure at SWAT HQ in order to complete the death circuit.
Pavlovian response, no critical thinking skills evident.
It was bad enough when they’d swat the wrong address in pursuit of an actual perp, but now they don’t even bother to exercise due diligence for prank phone calls.
Maybe it’s simply more important for some folks to live in the moment.
Its was not a prank. It was attempted murder by proxy.
Any reasonable person would know that the likelihood of violence or even death could be the outcome. In fact that's the entire point of SWATing.
>>Swautistic tweeted that he didn’t get anyone killed because he didn’t pull the trigger.
Same with the douchebag yelling “fire” in a crowded theater or saying “there’s a bomb on this plane!” while in the sky.
Only these loathesome figures tell police of an armed threat on premises and send SWAT into someone’s house armed to kill at the first hint of a challenge.
If you engage in a criminal act that gets someone killed, you are accountable for that person’s death.
Always. AuntieFaaaaa Commies and Occutards.
Media thought it was excellent a few years ago when gun rights advocates were being SWATted along with other conservatives (bloggers, politicians, actors).
The scumbag making a false report set it all in motion.
