Police in a Colorado city just outside of Denver said "multiple deputies" are down after being shot while responding to a disturbance call early Sunday.
The Douglas County Sheriffs Office said in a tweet that citizens in Highlands Ranch should shelter in place and avoid windows.

“...but < 1 out of 10 people do not want to be binary. Must be a hex.”
Well, dewey or don’t we?
Nope just people who say they want to shoot out the window into an active crime scene
...and you can legally defecate (would prefer to say something more clear) on the streets in Denver. What a great, inviting community they’ve created. /s
As an ex cop, I have been very disappointed with many of the comments I’ve read on this post, and the other one posted on FR about this incident.
My heart breaks for this young man’s family.
Cities/states run by dems/leftists are broken .. destruction everywhere they have control.
Actually, you can't.
“After all those years here, you are still stupid?”
Well yes, finally. But I had to go thru my arrogant stage before finally reaching stupid.
Gives you a hint of what awaits you...
Using your logic, a guy with a CCW who sees a Perp shooting at a Police Officer just pulls out his iPhone and records it for Posterity?
The guy who shot the Perp at the Texas Church got engaged in a active crime scene and the Police were glad he did.
I was pointing out the difference between MA and Texas and the difference between cowering in fear or doing something to end the threat like the Hero in Texas did.
As far as your return fire comment, my point was there was a clear field of view with two Terrorists not shielded by anything and they were firing on the Police.
If I was standing in the Street and had a Concealed Weapon, would my engaging the Criminals / Terrorists be my duty as a Citizen, or would running away be the easiest thing to do rather than getting involved in a active Crime scene where Police Officers were being targeted?
No one could be certain what they would do in these type of situations, but my first thought upon seeing the iPhone Video of the event is how People just watch things happen rather than doing something, anything to end a threat.
Now the PC term is “sheltering (cowering) in place (fear)” and waiting for your turn to die.
I guess you and I look at these type of situations differently, so be it.
If you are illegal you can. They decriminalize this.
Prayers for anyone who comes in contact with LEOs in situations like this.
They reduced the fine/jail time below a deportable offense. That is bad enough, but you can't "legally" do that as you originally said.
“How many cops get shot every day in the US?
How many of those have stories in the Times Onlne U.K. with video of the motorcade in real time?”
—
Most don’t make the news at all———it was the Daily Mail that showed the motorcade, not The Times, and The Mail has constant coverage of the U.S.
.
Exactly my point.
plus they are 8 hours ahead in the news cycle.
I was watching one the other night. Was most or all of his stuff in Colorado? I kept thinking some of it was Los Angeles.
All the wounded and killed were youngsters.
I did the mailing label IT work gratis for Joe Pelle the first time he ran for office. He’s a good guy - though Joe had to switch from Pub to Dem before running to get elected in Boulder County. I know lots of guys who work for him.
This is just horrible.
“Highlands Ranch is not a poor neighborhood”
No,it’s not. It’s quite upscale overall ...
