Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said "we are all going to lose patience with the attorney general" over his perceived apprehension to prosecute people like Lois Lerner and Peter Strzok.
"I love Jeff Sessions. I think he is a great guy, but he has got to do the job he is there to do," Huckabee said. He said Sessions, a former Alabama senator, must "enforce the law... universally. Without regard to who the person is."
Huckabee said Sessions may be holding off on prosecuting Lerner, the former IRS employee allegedly implicated in the conservative nonprofit targeting scandal, or Strzok, the FBI agent who sent anti-Trump texts to his mistress, because he does not want to be perceived of "partisanship." "[But] this isn't about partisanship, this is about justice," Huckabee said. "This is a dangerous place," he said of allegations against Strzok and Lerner. "This is the kind of thing you see in totalitarian countries where the power of the government is used to step on your political enemies."

I see playing opossum as a relatively neutral thing, in defense of one’s self when there is no threat to others. Try to think of it this way, while your nine baby opossums are being eaten, is it admirable for an adult opossum to play dead?
I submit playing opossum while this nation is being literally destroyed by anarchists et al, is grounds for dismissal.
The idea Sessions is just getting things squared away to take action, lost it’s shelf-life months ago.
If Trump fires Sessions before Mueller finishes his witch hunt, Mueller will NEVER finish. The media, both political parties and all the other Trump-haters will start howling Saturday Night Massacre, and they’ll never stop. Do not doubt that the drumbeat would never end. The Saturday Night Massacre stories are probably already written...by the hundreds. All they’re waiting for is for Trump to make a move against Sessions or Mueller.
Trump is knee deep in a swamp full of frenzied sharks. All they need is a pretext to attack. Trump doesn’t even have his own party behind him. This is not the time to bloody the water. Sessions will be fired or he’ll resign. It just won’t happen at a moment that will leave Trump totally isolated. That would be a disaster, and Trump will not make such a devastating unforced error.

Happy New Year to you and yours.
I didn't see the piece on Fox. Did Huck really say that?
What's the alleged Strzok crime? Adultery?
For your consideration, verification, and edification.
Just heard there will be ten thousand indictments this week.
Can’t verify it.
Howdy Gowdy helped Hillary.....he made Hilary look like the sinless Queen Mother.
He is complicit in that he abetted this evil Demoncat to continue her evil political ambitions.
Ping to # 126.
Check out # 108 as well.
Thanks, grey_whiskers.
Agree completely. Gowdy could have brought justice to the devastated families of those who died at Benghazi, while bringing Hillary down at the same time. Instead, he protected her. It’s a disgrace.
excellent rant!!!! !!!
Just frustrates the living piss out of me that we have a Republican President and AG yet the boogie man is Gowdy? I used to get it when there was the honey moon after the slobbering worship love affair with our President and I get it people will still come up with any excuse while pointing fingers in the other direction. Honeymoon is over and its time to get real. The indictments should they want them sit on the AGs desk. Trumps AG
Thank you, a very good back and forth
I agree - many jumping all over Sessions w/o a cue of how intricate a web he has to navigate to get the ducks in a row.
‘after the slobbering worship love affair with our President’
Disgusting. Something only a Trump-hater could have written. You let the cat out of the bag. Now it all makes sense.
On the DOJ spread sheets noted as sealed indictments, the rows are columns are charges
This guy took one row and 113 columns. God only knows how many columns there actually are
‘many jumping all over Sessions w/o a cue of how intricate a web he has to navigate to get the ducks in a row.’
The exact same thing could be said of the never-ending drumbeat of Trump-criticism for him not firing Sessions quickly enough. Some people have no conception of the minefield Trump is negotiating. And he has only Sessions’ unnecessary recusal to blame for it.
Sessions should have informed his boss prior to dropping that devastating bomb on him. It would have been the very least Sessions could have done.
I can’t stand to look at him...he looks wimpy, pale, scared, and all together not the dynamo that I thought we needed to head up Justice...
