Iran warned on Sunday that protesters will "pay the price" after a third night of unrest saw mass demonstrations across the country in which dozens were arrested and official buildings attacked.

Videos shared on social media showed thousands marching in towns and cities throughout Iran overnight.

Travel restrictions and a near-total media blackout from official agencies made it very difficult to confirm the swirl of rumours spreading through social media.

Semi-official conservative outlets confirmed an evening attack on a town hall in Tehran and showed protesters attacking banks and municipal buildings in other parts of the country.

Last time that price was gang rape of arrested protesters. Something the western media flushed down the memory hole.

pluz - if this was happening in the US you would be braying for the protesters to be machine gunned.

it’s obvious the hooligans over there are a deep state set up. The NeoComs must have spent quite a few billion to get a couple of hundred protestors friled up

First part agreed second part who knows. It fits with Turkey trying to become the premier Islamic Republic and eventual Caliphate. Saudi Arabia has the money to influence internals in Iran too. Do not think it’s U.S related other than moral support.

Prediction is — a lot of protesters die which goes largely unreported in the Media other than fox possibly.

1. If Antifa protests were happening in the US, I don’t support machine gunning them.

2. If these protests have been manufactured by foreign interests, then they should die out, unless there is organic support. With subsequent organic support I don’t mind if the initial protests were somehow manufactured. It would just go to show that the foreign entity had Iran pegged as ripe for revolution. So what? Their regime is evil and the world would benefit if the mullahs were overthrown.

I find it interesting that members of the IRCG are even joining into the protests, if this is true then this is Major news.

The US neocons do not run the world. It should be noted though that this began right after the US and Israel agreed on a policy to confront Iran. Basically a change in direction appears to be the best way to describe the situation. Appeasing tyrants and arming terrorist appear to be a US neocon experiment put to rest.

Much of the Hoopla is media wishful thinking. The mullahs have the guns, and that’s what counts.

The mullahs give orders to those who carry the guns, just as the apparatchiks gave orders to those who carried the guns in the old Eastern Bloc.

They shouldn’t soil the streets. Wrap the bastages up and send them COD to Obama’s library.

Those who organize protests against other governments are shocked when they themselves are protested.

There's a fresh breeze in the wind now, and it's name is Trump.
