en. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) reignited his feud with the History Channel on Saturday after apparently watching a history program on another channel.
"Just watched history on An American Experience abt Thomas Edison the inventor Thx Comcast on Arlington Va Channel 19 DO U GET MESSAGE HISTORY CHANNEL???" the senator tweeted.

I will never forget waiting excitedly to see their supposed epic series "The Story of US"...an overall view of the American Republic.
What was it? It was pure, unadulterated LEFTWING propaganda. The truth about European influence and development of this land into a free market system where people can achieve their potential was completed muted out and the ideas of Howard Zinn were front and center.
There were only TWO "interviewees" who could, in a small sense, be considered Republican--and they were used sparingly: Newt Gingrich (bonafide conservative) and Colin "I love Barack Obama" Powell.
I watched about three episodes--thinking it might just be a one off or that some balance might shine through. Not a chance. The History Channel probably has some good stuff...but the extremist liberal bias that came through that mini-series was enough to turn me off forever.
I am glad Chuck Grassley is going after that hotbed of propaganda. It'll be a great day when that thing is shut down for lack of interest.
If I could fund a history mini-series, Paul Johnson’s “A History of the American People” would be a good place to start.
Or, if one wants to do the 20th century, Paul also wrote a magnificent treatise “Modern Times”.
That is history—accurate, from a conservative but BALANCED point of view, and with fascinating anecdotes about the people and places.
Of course, our own LS has some great stuff, too...”A Patriot’s History...” gives us a lot of material from which to learn!
Cable TV is no longer watched in our house.
We stream what we want, and are far ahead of the silly news and “history” oozing from the MSM.
I gave up on the History Channel a long time ago. So much utter pap, never mind the left-wing bias.
The History Channel seldom has anything about history since they stopped being the Hitler Channel.
They would do better to run The Great Courses featuring some of the best history professors known to man.
It’s been the Pawn Star Channel for years now. Story of US wasn’t terrible and The Men Who Built America was decent. The thing about Sam Adams was insulting but Hatfields and McCoys was entertaining. Still things were better when they were showing Craig Haeffner dox.
I get all the history I need from Rick on Pawn Stars.
Sometimes Chumlee has some historic words of wisdom too.
sorry, I think the US thing was rife with leftist crap. Worship at the altar of Henry Gates and Howard Zinn.
My wife used to call it the ‘War Channel’. It used to be worth watching, but alas, it’s lost its way.
Im assuming there’s not much money in history shows, or you’d see more of them - you might even see some on the History channel.
Pawn Stars sometimes has historical artifacts
Television has become so Soviet. The difference is that most Russians knew their television content was propaganda. I’m not so sure about half of America.
Two words: “Ancient Aliens”
We have 400 CHANNELS and we watch maybe three of them. Not much to learn anymore of T.V. There are sometimes some clever commercials and the weather channel is sometimes right. Local news has the same shooting stories every night.
National news has political bias for an agenda. The Comedy shows aren’t funny. The History shows have an agenda.
Today cable is just a sewer, not even worthy enough to be included in Marshall McLuhan's vast wasteland. With the exception of TCM, and maybe one or two others, it is barren.
I stopped cable a few years ago, and other than TCM, I don't miss any of it.
I now call the history Channel “Antiques and Aliens”.
The history channel is a joke. I havent watched in years. I would come closer to watching a nfl game.not gonna happen.

Heck there are almost no documentaries worth watching.
I have to go to the BBC 2 for my documentary fix.
