Abedin was serving as deputy chief of staff to former secretary of state and presidential candidate Clinton at the time the emails were sent. She had forwarded the emails to a computer she shared with Weiner—with whom she began divorce proceedings in 2016 after it emerged he had engaged in explicit online conversations with a 15-year-old girl.

The emails weren't marked as classified, though investigators subsequently found classified material in some of the messages.

I looked at this panel more than you can imagine. A panel almost identical to this was in the Smithsonian for a while a decade or two ago.

When I used to do briefs for security, I used to tell the crew NOT to take pictures of classified anything but years after, I used to see pictures and info on the submarine message boards that were once very classified.

"They" made an example of a poor first class PO who took a few pictures with his cell phone. They tried to use the "Hillary" defense in that he did NOT INTEND..... IT didn't work.

They could have had our complete order of battle, ops plan for pre emptive strike on North Korea, and list of all our CIA spies and Comey/Sessions gives a pass. No intent, or didn’t know it was against the law. Try that if you are in the military.

That ‘no intent’ determination is the most aggravating of the lot.
Back in the day, in my service, ‘intent’ was never mentioned as any sort of defense against charges if I mishandled the classified information I worked with on a daily basis.

This crap is only confirming the belief among the populace that there is a two-tiered system of ‘just-us’ in this country. And, it needs to be stopped.

Although I wasn’t watching every minute, I was amazed and delighted to see the boys on Tucker Carlson shifting this into high gear last night.

Exactly. IMO anything related to the Muslim cause Huma was sending to her mother, who ran a Muslim organization, and was fed info. to further that cause. How in heck did Huma get security clearances to be Hillary’s secretary/confidante? The FBI (Comey) no doubt gave her that security clearance.

In my experience with classified documents they were never marked "Classified". They were marked "Confidential", "Secret", or "Top Secret", and some had additional markings for special handling.

isn’t there a former US Army General/DCIA with top secret clearance that had to plead guilty to sharing notes with his personal biographer (who also had top secret clearance)?
