2017 Was the Year I Learned About My White Privilege
I used to be a smart-alecky conservative who scoffed at “political correctness.” The Trump era has opened my eyes.
In college — this was in the late 1980s and early 1990s at the University of California, Berkeley — I used to be one of those smart-alecky young conservatives who would scoff at the notion of “white male privilege” and claim that anyone propagating such concepts was guilty of “political correctness.” As a Jewish refugee from the Soviet Union, I felt it was ridiculous to expect me to atone for the sins of slavery and segregation, to say nothing of the household drudgery and workplace discrimination suffered by women. I wasn’t racist or sexist. (Or so I thought.) I hadn’t discriminated against anyone. (Or so I thought.) My ancestors were not slave owners or lynchers; they were more likely victims of the pogroms.

When these idiots say "white," what they really mean is WASP. That's why so many Jewish liberals try to disassociate themselves from the mainstream. Unfortunately there is a very Jewish -- and fatal -- weakness of sympathizing with the underdog, any underdog. They make no distinction between a terrorist and a child abuse victim. Unfortunately, as the Talmud says, those who are kind to the cruel become cruel to the kind.
I'm Jewish, BTW. I was never a "Yankee Doodle Dandy" type, but I am grateful for the WASPs who built up this country.

If all these decades of sacrifice, hard work, commitment, family separations, and absolute shat jobs that just had to get done was my white privilege, I would have picked an easier skin color if I could have.
Jews have their own group survival strategy, and it is obviously working very well. One of the of the most irritating tactics they use is "criticizing whites while pretending to be one".
Tim Wise made a career out of this. Susan Sontag wrote a whole book on it.

Which is why I don't take them seriously. The liberals, anyway -- they're as cracked as the Liberty Bell. As someone who grew up in an ultra-liberal -- and loony -- home, I have no love for any them. They have a problem with authority, probably from years of living in oppressed countries. I made up a joke: "Liberal Jews never left the 1960s. Orthodox Jews never left the 1860s."
Jews are not a monochrome society. The Orthodox are obviously socially conservative, although the Hassidic Jews vote Democrat for the social programs (I.e. welfare, Section 8). But there are many of us who voted for Trump -- and we are grateful, as well as loyal, to our host country.
Anyone born here won the lottery, regardless of race or religion.
I scanned some of the other hyperlink article titles on the FP webpage. Since when did it get so liberal? I always thought it was conservative, or at least centrist. Very scary.

Liberal Jews like to play a game where they can choose to be or not be white whenever they feel like it. When they rail against whites they exclude themselves. When they say nice things about whites, they include themselves.
But unfortunately for them, the jews (Emmanuel Cellar in particular) were behind the destructive Immigration Act of 1965, behind commercialization of pornography, behind the corruption of societal values/Christianity via the media and academia, pushers of socialism and marxism, and so they, as a group (there are individual exceptions, of course) haven't engendered much warm feeling among those who have been the recipients of this sewage and chaos and who haven't been anesthetized by such nonsensical terms such as "judeo-christian", etc.

No epiphany, he's just saying out loud what most of his fellow neoconservatives keep to themselves or express more subtly. As arch-globalists, neoconservatives have always promoted a slightly more watered-down version of the same multiculturalism and political correctness as the Democrats.
