I doubted Trump would give us a good Supreme Court justice. I was wrong.
Washington Examiner ^ | 27/12/2017 | Timothy P. Carney

Every year I write a column about where I was wrong in the previous year. This year I have less fodder, because my colossal errors in 2016 — underestimating President Trump, mostly — gave me a small dose of humility.

So, this year I will look at how I judged Trump. In an important way, I underestimated him, and this misestimation was a big part of the reason I refused to vote for him.

Any so-called "conservative" who refused to vote for President Trump was comfortable giving the Supreme Court to Hillary and the Left FOR ALL FRICKING TIME.

That was the end of the war between the Left and the rest of us.

Screw the #NeverTrumpers.

Absolute truth.

Everyone underestimated DJT. I underestimated his resiliency.

Carney admits to serial lapses of judgment, but still doesn’t realize how cursory his thinking has been. He will make more bad judgment in the coming year and have to confess again a year from now.

Translation:

“Trump has maybe done some good things, but I still hate him because he’s vulgar and nasty and because he’s Trump. But if it makes me look less like a !(@*#ing idiot after not voting for him to give him credit some something, I will.”

An Evan McMullen voter who didn’t realize at the time that McMullen is a doofus isn’t worthy of being listened to on anything. Despite the mea culpa hinted at in the title of this article, the author goes on to bash President Trump

Yes, a very small dose, minuscule, in fact and not nearly enough to alter the reality that this guy remains a blithering idiot.

It’s good to see some honesty; I admit I was dubious about a lot of what Trump would do.

I’m very happy to see those doubts resolved.

What is really funny is to listen to the 0bummers: everything that went badly in 0’s years was bush’s fault; wverything that’s going well in Trump’s year is 0bum’s gift.

If Clinton were president, Republicans would be eying a blowout election that could give the GOP 60 seats in the Senate.

And Pelosi and Schumer would STILL be calling all of the shots.

The American people didn’t feel this way. There weren’t Republicans or conservatives who stayed at home. Why are these people in our media?

Agreed! I lost all respect for guys like Michael Medved. The same guy who voted Third party instead of Trump berates Third party voters on a regular basis calling them Clowns. Trump has already been the single most conservative President in my lifetime....and I do remember Reagan. Medved and all those snotty, reach across the aisle, amnesty-loving GOPE jerks will get zero credit for electing among our best presidents. BTW, Medved also holds strong to his opinion that Bush will be remembered as one of our greatest presidents!!!lol!

I couldn’t decide who was the lesser of two evils.

I have absolutely no problem with enemy recognition, so I voted for Trump.

Bushbot doubted Trump would give us a good Supreme Court justice. He was wrong. Probably still not voting for Trump in 2020, just like the Bushes, because mah principles.

Its way too soon to pronounce Justice Gorsuch as being a great pick.

He looks good, but lets wait and see.
