But Tuesday, Melania Trump reportedly made the decision to have it removed after tree specialists determined “the overall architecture and structure of the tree is greatly compromised.”

A neighbor hung a windsock on a branch of one of our huge trees that branched over into his yard. Two hours later, the tree fell missing his house by this much.
I just looked at Twitter, and after telling more than a dozen liberals that they’ve been taken in by the media, I gave up. There are even more tweets from conservatives about the misleading headline, though.
Yahoo, HuffPo, and others also ran with a similar misleading headline.
According to the article they have cuttings from that tree that have been cultivated and will be planted when the tree is taken down.
I can see it now. Melania disposes of a newspaper in the rubbish bin, and Newsweek shall proclaim “Melania trashes White House!”
Here's the MSM's sales pitch to high school-age kids trying to choose a future career: "Spend your life as a paid liar, hated wherever you go! Become one of our journalists!"
It is a Jackson tree. Jackson was a racist and rabid slave-owner. It is high time to get rid of the tree. Next -> all of his statues.

Ver-r-r-ry inter-r-r-resting. That means it will be done the long slow way, but that the tree that grows up there, will be the same tree as was there before, genetically. Christians will be able to watch it grow during the Millennium.
I guess they hate it when a smart and beautiful conservative/religious child-loving woman considers it a non-event to tell the experts who said it has to go to go ahead and take care of it.....should have called a press conference and gave a speech about all the poor trees and puppies first to show "empathy"....

Pete Hegseth was saying that some years ago concrete was poured into that trunk to bolster it up.
They already have started small trees from saplings to replant there.
That description of the rotting tree that should have been taken down years ago, could be used to describe any number of departments, programs, and agencies, that need a stem to stern review, and apply Demming, Kaizen, Six Sigma etc too, if not out right cutting them down to the ground with a chain saw and digging out the roots.
A greater irony is that FLOTUS is doing it and that she has more sense than all the FLOTUS's to make the hard call, rather than like everyone else that kicked the can down the road, which is what their Hubbies did on Iran, the Middle East, the Norks, etc etc etc.....
Common Sense get-er-done-ism, with a team of experts like we have never seen before on top of their game that are exquisite turn around experts and are fixing things for free. It is not just PDJT and the Cabinet of megga-sharks, it is now FLOTUS too!
