An attorney and private school teacher from Washington, DC, is accusing United Airlines of removing her from her first-class seat only to give the seat to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX).
snip
Airline staff told Simon the seat was taken and gave her a $500 voucher, along with another ticket for the same flight in Economy Plus.

Is she the one where 26 staffers have left in the last 6 months because she is crazy?
Some of my fondest memories are of finding some interesting place on my way to somewhere else. :)
Oh yeah! I have 9+ years worth of “dog and pony show” experience from the Marine Corps!
The things we used to do to make things look and sound like everything was wonderful, all because the Secretary of Defense or the Head of the DOJ or a Joint Chiefs of Staff member was doing a pass-in-review! UGH!!
do they have a cattle car class for Lee ?
*** “Correta Scott King was brought to the plane by ATL PD. They told us to NOT make eye contact with her” ***
I would have laughed loudly and Loudly in my best Company Commander voice “DO NOT SMELL MY FEET!”
To be fair U.S. Representatives have a whole lot of power over the airlines and it is in Uniteds best interest to get her a first class seat. It has been reported that United apologized five times in one phone call to the displaced customer. United will pony up with some more cash and benefits and all will be well.
This whole affair is excusable. Sheila Jackson Lee lent her broom to Hillary, and poor Sheila had to fly United.
Sheila had to “fly United”
smile
She should file a multi million dollar lawsuit against united. Once the United lawyers look at the discovery they have to turn over she can settle for a yuuge amount
Yes, I guess.
My own take? Never feed the Monkeys (lawyers).
Indeed if you know how the game is rigged it pays.
