Andrew McCabe, the FBIs deputy director who has been the target of Republican critics for more than a year, plans to retire in a few months when he becomes fully eligible for pension benefits, according to people familiar with the matter.
McCabe spent hours in Congress this past week, facing questions behind closed doors from members of three committees. Republicans said they were dissatisfied with his answers; Democrats called it a partisan hounding.
McCabe, 49, holds a unique position in the political firestorm surrounding the FBI. He was former director James B. Comeys right-hand man, a position that involved him in most of the FBIs actions that vex President Trump as well as the investigation of Hillary Clintons use of a private email server while secretary of state, a matter that still riles Democrats.

FIRE this DBag before he can get a pension!
Cant get that pension from prison !
Which begs the question: How the hell do these guys retire with full pension at 49 or 50?
Screw that.
Fire his ass for cause so he is denied his pension.
Then prosecute him for Conspiracy to Deny Civil Rights Under Color of Law.
Yup!
Retire at 49? Fing government!
FIRE HIM! He doesnt deserve a pension. He deserves a prison cell.
“Maybe if I retire they will not prosecute me.”
He and Lois Lerner laughing all the way to the bank!
It is that way for most government employees.
BULLSHIT!
Indict his sorry ass before he has a chance to escape. No retirement, only incarceration.
Every Deputy Director has left the FBI when a new guy takes over, going back to at least Louis Freeh. Private offers are too good and it is recognized that the new Director wants his own team.
Democrats called it a partisan hounding. ............................. Well I’m sure they are well versed on that kind of thing. Not all is hounding, some is real investigation. When it gets hot in the kitchen its time to leave!
If Sessions or Wray don't fire McCabe now, then we have a big problem.
Funny how shining light upon you and your actions is considered attacking.
I thought that perception was reserved to satan and his minions!
Since no Very Special FBI agents has resigned in protest, there is likely a long moving walkway of those ready to step into those big weasel shoes.
He better retire to a non-extraditable country if he wants to escape justice.
Jeff Session or Chris Wray would have to take bold action to do that.
The swamp can't be drained by wimpy half measures.
make him fully eligible now (buy out package) and adios him today, under the condition that he tells all in front of Congress open session.
