I can hear the left’s reply already, that they’re only there in disproportionate numbers because of “raycizm”. To be fair, we should put more native-born white males in prison (doesn’t matter if they didn’t do anything, it’s the outcome which matters). At least, that’s the way some public schools are playing it (don’t punish “minority” offenders, but throw the book at white males).
The illegal population in the jails and state prisons is often higher than feds. The border states are extremely affected by illegal crime.
