The United Nations general assembly has delivered a stinging rebuke to Donald Trump, voting by a huge majority to reject his unilateral recognition of Jerusalem as Israels capital.
The vote came after a redoubling of threats by Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, who said that Washington would remember which countries disrespected America by voting against it.
Despite the warning, 128 members voted on Thursday in favour of the resolution supporting the long-standing international consensus that the status of Jerusalem which is claimed as a capital by both Israel and the Palestinians can only be settled as an agreed final issue in a peace deal.
Although largely symbolic, the vote in emergency session of the world body had been the focus of days of furious diplomacy by both the Trump administration and Israel, including Trumps threat to cut US funding to countries that did not back the US recognition.

Bring our soldiers home.
I was struck by how very subservient ethnic Brits are to the invaders. I watched Brits step into the street rather than disturb the invaders walking on the sidewalk. It was very sad to see a proud people so humbled in their own country. And yes I felt like an intruder too.
Absolutely, they are needed here at home. Why should the American taxpayer subsidize the income of a hostile foreign economy such as Britain and Germany?
“I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curse thee.”
Suck it Dems.
For, against, and abstains are all marked. I'm guessing black means no vote - with the possible distinction being that the abstainers were present and refused to vote, while the countries marked in black were perhaps not present or did not contribute to quorum.
UN, I fart in your general direction!
Ferris is correct of course.
I was discussing economics with a friend yesterday. He is a Christian, and we both agreed that God may yet bring favor upon our nation because of Trump's courageous actions vis a vis Israel and Jerusalem (per Genesis 12:3).
However, I am also mindful that just because Trump is behind Israel, it does not mean that our entire nation is. In fact, far from it. Not only are the liberals and atheists vehemently opposed, so is the Catholic church and thereby its millions of US members, whose official position on the issue of Jerusalem is bitterly and directly opposed to what Trump is doing.
I see the stock market going bonkers. I see Bitcoin soaring to absolutely unheard of and unfathomable heights.
But what lurks behind both of those bubbles is debt, pumping, and yes - a Ponzi scheme under-pining.
Below is a very good editorial from the Rapture Ready site:
Corroding Wealth in the Last Days: By Wilfred Hahn
Excerpt:
Gauging by popular indicators, wealth is surging. Stock market indices have been rising, hitting new all-time highs in some countries. And, spectacularly, real estate values have been soaring to previously unimaginable levels around the world, from Sweden to Canada to Australia. Surely, wealth must be booming.
Indeed, some people are becoming very rich; the already-wealthy growing incredibly wealthy. The share of wealth of the one percent (the wealthiest 1% of people) is definitely rising. But, seen from the vantage point of historical wealth theory as well as Biblical values, we take a completely opposite perspective. We conclude that worldwide wealth is corroding.
Moreover, we identify many prophetic parallels. The wealth trends that we are witnessing today fit hand-in-glove with the prophecies of the Bible.
Absolutely, screw Germany and screw the UK.
Hahn is correct on many levels, though I disagree with his assessment that “all who refuse to take the MARK will be killed”.
Another point that he is absolutely correct on is the interest rate levels we’ve been seeing for the past 6 or 7 years.
Never in recorded history have they been so low and they’ve been keeping financial records on this type of data for at least 3000 years.
A market crash is coming soon I believe.
When we get around to invading and occupying all of the Nazi countries (and sorting them out here), let’s put all of the Nazis back in Mongolia, Turkey and Russia.
;-)
I suspect that at the core of Australia’s abstention is on one hand, where America puts its embassy is America’s business and the UN can go to hell, but on the other is the 200 million Muslims in Indonesia who are getting more crazy by the day and who out number Australia 10 to 1.
The good news is that, in a Jubilee Year, all debts are cancelled. So all debt-based currency will be destroyed.
With the exception of the abstentions of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, and Romania, every Eurabian Emirate voted with their Muslim Masters. Anglestani and Frankistani regimes were more pro-PLO than Muslim Bosnia.
Make em pay their perking tickets or get out
You forgot ... Cowards, Rapists, Thugs, Pillagers, Pedophiles.
Not sure how you can work that into your theme, though.
God must be having a laugh over this vote.
Anyone else think that the small islands that voted Yes wanted a extra cut of the foreign aid dollars when they put in their scam “globull warming - the sea is rising” money claims?
