FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified behind closed doors for nearly eight hours Tuesday on Capitol Hill, amid calls for his firing over allegations of conflicts of interest and anti-Trump political prejudice at the law enforcement bureau.
McCabe's testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, which had been rescheduled from last week, was the latest development in a controversy swirling around text messages exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.
McCabe was believed to be the "Andy" to whom Strzok and Page referred in their messages.

Gowdy and other committee members were tight-lipped on the details of McCabes testimony on Tuesday, and most avoided speaking with reporters. But the committees ranking member,U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said McCabe has been a professional FBI agent and that he does not understand the calls of some to fire him.

Yes, the lack of immediate leaks is a great sign — obviously the Demoncraps like Schiff did not find anything at all in 8 hours of testimony that they considered beneficial to their onslaught on POTUS Trump.
They must all be scared Schiff-less right about now.....
Naw, I’m sayin’ that’s what Sessions said — What?
8 hours... He must have a lot of grandchildren to talk about.
Same here. Wake me when someone goes to jail.
Rosenweasel will still proudly boast that he has full confidence in McCabe and the FBI to do the needed work in this important “matter”.
“he does not understand the calls of some to fire him.
I don’t believe that statement to be true.
Grilled for 8 hours?
He must be well done by now.....................
The number of Nothing Will Come of This posts on this thread and threads like this one just amazes me. As if Congress should be out arresting and jailing people instead of just grilling Skunk McCabe for nearly 8 hours.
Boring comments. Not helpful. I skip over them.
I believe he & Rosenstein will not last long beyond the IG report to be issued in January timeframe.....
Agreed nothing will come of this. Although let me back up, did he testify under oath? If the answer is yes (that would be a surprise)I still say nothing will come of this.
Some further “enlightening” reading about Mr. McCabe, if you’re interested ..... what’s been allowed to go on where McCabe is concerned is rather scary stuff. I doubt if he was questioned much on this yesterday, but with all he’s been into, he should be looking VERY ashen.

Why closed doors? The demo’s afraid of information getting out? Gee - They’re the leakers, aren’t they?
The GROPelites are protecting the Swamp with closed door hearings, and the media will let them.
If that is true he is as guilty as sin. An honest man would understand perfectly the outrage over FBI interference in the election process. Schiff is either very stupid or...very stupid.
Re Trey Gowdy: Predictable tough talk for the media, followed by no results, ever, zipp, nada, zed, zero.
++++
Assume you hold the position Trey Gowdy currently holds.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENT?
Can’t wait until CNN, WP, NYT, MSNBC start making up complete fabrications based on anonymous sources to try and build a narrative before the truth comes out...
Back when Civics was taught in 8th Grade, most Americans understood the extent and limits of Congressional power. You apparently weren't paying attention, or came along after Civics ceased to be taught in government schools.
Congress, of which Rep. Gowdy is a member, has the power to subpoena and investigate in its Constitutional oversight of the Executive branch. However, the Constitution does not allow Congress to indict or try anyone for crimes (except for impeachment of the president or federal judges); that power is invested in the Executive branch through the Department of Justice.
President Trump has been in office for less than a year, and Attorney General Sessions for ten months, and they have had to combat obstruction at every turn. These are smart men who knew the score before the election and knew exactly what they needed to do. They are busy and their enemies are terrified; for now, that's all we need to know.
Interesting. Thanks for that link.
