Gov. Chris Christie Tuesday said Jared Kushner "deserves to be scrutinized" in the Russia collusion probe because President Trump's son-in-law attended the transition team meetings in question as a senior adviser.

Asked during an interview with MSNBC whether Kushner, whose father Christie prosecuted and jailed when he was U.S. attorney, deserves to be scrutinized by the special counsel investigation, Christie didn't hesitate in his response: Of course, he said.

Kushner and Ivanka need to get out of Trump’s administration. They don’t represent me at all.

http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/06/father_of_trump_son-in-law_jar.html

Jared Kushner - then an undergraduate at Harvard University - saw his name improperly put on some $90,000 of his father’s donations as well.

He stood by his father during the investigation, however, and afterwards when Charles Kushner pleaded guilty to 18 counts of making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering.

The last charge involved a particularly nasty incident where Charles Kushner send his sister Esther a tape showing her husband William Schulder with a prostitute hired by Kushner to discredit his brother-in-law, who was cooperating with federal authorities.

Witness tampering is a big no no.

So now being part of a presidential transition team and performing tasks associated with it is now criminal? Is this the USA?

I don't understand why Trump seems to make himself almost subserviant to his son-in-law and daughter. There's something going on there. I suspect Kushner is wealthier in multiples than Trump and Trump seems to view wealth as a measure of capability, intelligence and success.

The ffather sounds vicious. But there are others who could be indicted and won't.

Jared does not deserve scrutiny just because he was “involved with the transition.” He should be scrutinzed only if the scrutinizers have reason to suspect that he was participating in a crime. Anything else would be a biased fishing expedition.

facts will lead where they lead

The problem is that "fact" seems to be a flexible concept in the hands of leftists.

No problem with this and happy if Jared is out of the White House. Replace him with a conservative.

Christie is definitely not small, however he is an extremely petty man.

Cristie is a jerk, that bridgegate thing was all him and he's letting people sit in prison rather than own up to it. All for petty payback that didn't even impact the actual person he was trying to payback. So yeah, he's a petty jerk.

But I suspect that Jared Kushner worked behind the scenes to get Christie off of team Trump after the election due to his own form of "payback". Between Kushner and Christie, at least I can point to some things Christie did that helped Trump win. What has Kushner ever done except work to backstab people he doesn't like?
