This doesn't sound good. We might have a vacancy in Arizona soon.

If he can’t do the job he should resign, and let someone else do the job.

Prayers for his family...especially his children and new son in law. What a sad time.
Re: tax bill? Will there be enough votes?

Nevermind I just read the rest of article.

What’s not good about that?
Yes, he just HAS to be in Arizona. Today. Not in three days TODAY. Missing a crucial vote. But not voting no. The thought of screwing Trump is the only thing keeping him alive. Cause there’s no medical care available near D. C.
Don’t buy any green bananas you creep McCain.

I doubt if McCain would do this without a leadership ok, and presumably there was a whip count before the decision. What this does is make it essentially impossible for anyone who committed as a yes to change his mind at the last minute. Someone could do it, but reneging on a promise that allowed a dying man to see his family and maybe have his last Christmas at home ... well, that would be pretty low, even for a Senator.

He is probably in his final weeks, maybe even days. The end can come rather quickly in these cases. He would not be leaving DC right now, with no photos, unless he were pretty severely incapacitated.

Cochran will be there. Melanoma is only debilitating in end stage and if we are really just hearing about this seriously now, he likely will be in shape to vote on the bill. If not it can go to 50/48
But once McCain dies Chuckie loses a sure vote. Of course McCain as a dead voter will always vote Democrat forever.

Somebody is engineering a fail here. That’s how it looks to me. With this type of news I don’t’ think we’ll be seeing McCain back in the Senate. If we do, then my guess is that he’s taking a piss on PDJT.
Everybody including the enemedia is counting this in the Win column for Trump — it’s not been voted on yet.
If they replace McCain, They can’t swear the replacement in until next term because McConnell is putting the stop on Jones being sworn in early. He couldn’t justify swearing in McCain’s appointment and not an elected Senator.

I hope McCain recovers and retires, but it’s nice to know that he doesn’t have the influence to stop this tax bill.

I really wish he'd just resign.
I can just see John McCain, in his last middle finger to conservatives, lingering around until 2019, with Doug Ducey having lost in 2018.
