I believe the Alabama Senate election should be a wake up call to Republicans. Yes, I said it. The Republican Party needs to reach out to my generation and most of the Millennials more libertarian leaning. My friends don't mind gays, we are gun right supporting, we are for small government, meaning we don't want the government in our kitchen or in our bedroom. Yes, I know it isn't the view of most Republicans in DeplorableAmerican1776 age group or older (sorry mom and dad), but we are growing up knowing gays and transgender. (I still believe it is wrong, but I do have a friend who is gay).

Republicans needs to talk to young people. I do have friends who are Dems (only because they support gays), but most of my friends are independent.

I know I might be condemned because of my post, but the Republican Party is not helping the newest voters, the young people who are going to vote in 2018, 2019 or (like me) 2020. If Trump runs for re-election, I'm going to vote for him, but I'll vote for people who are more libertarian.

Well, sweetie, you have to live in the world you create as a young adult. Get ready to spend your subsequent decades regretting these choices.

You have a good point, ConservaTeen.

Sadly, young conservatives like Tomi Lahren are attacked and abused by millennial leftists like The Young Turks, etc.

You like gays because you have been conditioned to like gays. Hollywood is virtually run by gays, and the people who give you the "news" from New York are all part of the same social group.

Only positive information regarding "gays" is allowed to be broadcast on television, or appear in movies or print.

What you are telling us is that the constant onslaught of propaganda has successfully taken hold in your mind, and that of other people who have fallen under it's influence.

I'm not going to tell you the "other side of the story", because I don't believe you would be receptive to it, or even believe it. I'm just going to wish you luck and hope what you have been led to believe doesn't cost you a hard lesson some time in the future.

Good Luck.

“Look I’m 14-18, and darn it, I know everything!”

Ouy...

It’s the age old problem of kids thinking they’ve got a better grasp than the elders in their family.

People have a misconception about what the elders think.

I’m not here to make life miserable for homosexuals or transgenders, but there is a time and place for such things.

The military is not the time or place for it.

The bakery isn’t.

This is exactly why I always do my taxes in the bedroom.

Denying Gay Marriage doesn’t make one anti-gay.

Society codifies Male Female marriage because heterosexual sex acts produce children and those children make women vulnerable and unmarried women with children are a serious burden on society.

Society has no concern about homosexual sex because the only thing it produces are diseases and mental health issues. It is in the best interest of society to limit or eliminate Homosexual activity as it is of no benefit and much burden to society as a whole. Ever see what the cost of treating AIDS or HIV might be. More than 40% of those with HIV/Aids are on Medicare. It costs tens of thousands a year per patient to keep them alive.

Doesn’t matter what form of sexual acts they engage in, they will never produce a natural child. So society as a whole has skin in the game when it comes to their relationships.

The reason why Gay Marriage is allowed is because the Supreme Court usurped the authority of the states and once again wrote law where they should not have. No different than the abominable Roe decision in ‘72.

Your young. We are glad to have you, but you have allot to learn

Do you think gay people should have special rights others do not?

Libertarians believe in the right of free association.

We do not have free association at present. The government can order you to associate with people you do not wish to associate with.

I appreciate your contribution here.

If homosexuality is a deal breaker for anyone, that ought to be a red flag.

The old saw “Love the sinner, hate the sin” has a great deal of truth within. Most of us old folk have known and gotten along with people who aren’t heterosexual. On the other hand we don’t feel compelled to applaud.

Young people would do well to learn from history....the caricature of old school conservatism has haters is wrong.

We need young conservatives to converse with their generation. Have you read Ryan Anderson? He helps make a case for “traditional” sexuality that may be more palatable to a younger generation.

Abuses and vitriol need not happen on either side.

ConservaTeen-I have a question that I would like some insight on from someone your age. Why is this issue (gay rights) so vital to young people when there are so many more pressing issues that face the country and impact our daily life, no matter what your sexual orientation is? Plus, on this issue, at this point, what more do you want? Pandora’s box has already been opened, we’re just trying to protect religious freedom and free speech in the face of the onslaught so we don’t end up like Europe.

You could ask your Dem friends, who you said are Dem because they support gays:

Why do you support a party that makes excuses for, and wants to IMPORT, Muslims who punish homosexuality with death? How is that gay-friendly?

Conservatives don’t support that lifestyle, but we don’t want to kill them or bring in others who want to kill them.

If Trump runs for re-election, I'm going to vote for him, but I'll vote for people who are more libertarian.

Gen-X and Millennial voters definitely tend to skew more libertarian on social issues. The country is becoming more libertarian on social issues.

Yesterday Alabama sent to the Senate a man who is pro LGBT rights and pro abortion. Let that sink in for a moment. Roy Moore is off to join Sharron Angle, Richard Mourdock, Todd Akin and Christine O'Donnell in the "WTF were we thinking?" club.

While the children are running around screaming "vote fraud!" the adults had better get their heads together and come up with a game plan. Two important elections now we've lost; Virginia with the GOP establishment lickspittle and now Alabama with the far right fringe candidate. Neither of these men spoke like President Trump and as a result, President Trump's MAGA base stayed home.

Trump showed us how to win. We should listen to him.

I support you. It’s a whole new world. Just stick with President Trump and you’ll be OK. I had President Reagan, and there will never be another, but President Trump is as close as you’re going to get in YOUR lifetime.

And you can take THAT to the bank. :)

You don’t mind gays until one of them rapes your little boy in the restroom of the local YMCA.

Millennials, or snowflakes, however you want to describe yourself, will learn, as you grow older, and hopefully, wiser, everyone DOESN’T get a trophy! Everybody DOESN’T become Chief of Police (Dallas) in six months on the job! Some DO have to work weekends and holidays! Hey! I don’t give a flip if you’re gay or straight! But, don’t push your BS on those who have come before you!

Silly, you have no context in your life to understand that gay people are becoming your overlords.

True tentacles of government do not belong in our beds... I agree with you in that but, the problem is that they are getting in your bed and molesting you.

Don’t let these jackasses on here get to you. Trump didn’t win because he banged a Bible or was Democrat lite. He put the US first. All the gay, illegal, trans, etc will sort itself out eventually as being against nature and your own good. Good luck. It’s your future.
