I heard my mom talk to my aunt about my cousin, so I talked to him about it. My friends and I talk about sex (I might be a conservative teen, but I’m a teen) with my friends.

What should be done about sex in the media? Maybe we (my generation) shouldn't been shown sex at an early age. I know cartoons covertly show sex. (Dad said Buggs Bunny dressed up in dresses on Saturday mornings when he watched them growing up).

Again, sorry if this upset you. I'm trying to get info to make myself better in politics. When I turn 18, I want to make an inform choice, not blindly vote for 'X', but knowing what his position is on all issues.

You saybyou don’t want to blindly vote for ‘X’, but you need to earn the self-awareness that you are already doing that by your millenial closed-mindedness for social progressivism.

Also, your tagline denounces islam because of pedophelia. What your teachers, media, and millenial brethren won’t tell you is that most homos became homos because they were the victims of pedophelia. Are you as a tolerant open-minded millenial willing to explore this fact?

I think Mitch McConnell is one of the worst things about the Republican Party. He needs to go.

My theory:

He is dirty. He’s either being blackmailed or bribed or both. Also he is fairly stupid. Same with Ryan, although I don’t think Ryan is stupid. I have thought a lot about why certain supposed Republicans/conservatives seem to work to sabotage conservative goals and my best guess is that they are “owned” by someone who pulls their strings. Nothing else makes sense to me. I believe that most liberal congress critters (and media personalities, etc.) have dirty secrets that they don’t want out in the open so they will do whatever is necessary to prevent that.

This explains the near hysteria after Trump won. Those who were/are most hysterically anti-Trump are the ones who are in the greatest danger of long prison sentences and financial ruin. (I would have included public humiliation, but most of these people seem to have no shame.) I believe that if we have thorough investigations of all the dirty dealings in high places we will need to build a ton of new prisons to hold all the perps.

I think many well-known politicians are guilty of pedophilia, murder, and theft of taxpayer money.

Interesting fact: At some point during the 0vomit administration, the fact that congressmen are immune from insider trading prohibitions became very public. So with great fanfare and self-righteousness they passed a law that held them to the same insider trading laws the rest of us have to abide by. After about 6 months, when no one was paying attention, they re-instated their immunity from those laws. Basically, this gives them a license to make money from their votes. If they know they are planning to vote for an expensive government project, they can

1. buy stock in the companies who will do the work,
2. vote for the project
3. watch the stock price go way up
4. sell at a huge profit.

If you or I did this, we’d be in prison.

I have thought a lot about creating a new party and it definitely has some appeal. But I have recently read/listened to some other opinions on the topic (Mark Levin, for one) who have made great arguments against it. Their argument is that instead of starting a new party we need to re-take the Republican party. I am beginning to agree with that idea. Not yet 100%, but at least 80%. I’m still weighing the pros and cons.

Best FReegards,
g

p.s. Try not to be swayed by those who talk the loudest or the longest. It is tempting to agree with them, just as it is tempting to go with the majority. But a good idea or a true fact doesn’t need to be loud or long or in the majority to be good or true. Search for truth.

Sargon is very heideggarian in promoting the emotional barbarism of the youth to destroy the wisdom and stabilty of successful prior generations

Sargon knows what Freedom is, and doesn't accept Tyrannical shortcuts which seek to criminalize people who haven't infringed on the rights of anyone, and who are "guilty" only of possessing one of God's own plants, man-made liquid spirits, or medicine.

Criminalizing those who have committed no crime—with the use of draconian Contraband Law—is the veritable epitome of barbarism.

For all intents and purposes, you—and the Leftist nanny-state ilk whose logic you emulate—strive to create a State with the power to criminalize virtually anything. Such a concept of State power cannot possibly be compatible with true Liberty, inasmuch as any emotional mob or persuasive demagogue is can negate Freedom arbitrarily—based on emotion—and in total disregard of what rationally and morally constitutes an actual crime. Anyone who thinks the State can criminalize such things—in the absence of any infringement on another individual's rights—can't legitimately claim to believe in minimal government, for in fact they are attempting to justify its diametric opposite.

The inevitable result of such Law is the "least common denominator" of Freedom—petty Tyrannies popping up everywhere—because there's always a justification to be found on the basis of nanny-state emotionalism. Such a state of affairs is entirely antithetical to true Liberty.

Authoritarians—Left and Right—revel their nanny-state shortcuts. You don't determine what my pursuit of happiness consists of any more than I dictate what yours is. People have an Unalienable right to Privacy and to be left the f-ck alone. And any Tyrant—great or small—who infringes on those Rights—whether because they're evil, or just suffering from a pathological urge to dominate others—shouldn't be surprised when they encounter fierce resistance.

"Spending wastefully" on social issues or anything else isn't something any libertarian advocates. Libertarians are far more fiscally conservative than the vast majority of "conservatives".

The thread you references wasn't "pro-pothead"—a label which is an attempt at pure obfuscation—but rather it was unambiguously anti-authoritarian. Authoritarians' embrace of Tyranny can't be dismissed by the use of insulting and phony labels; such smear tactics are ever the purview of nanny-staters.

All that "team pothead" is doing is pointing out the rank hypocrisy of those who claim to believe in minimal government while simultaneously and enthusiastically calling for an bloated nanny state—and the ever-expanding law enforcement apparatus (Police State) necessary to enforce its draconian edicts.

"Heideggarian"? LOL! You can throw around all the fancy labels you want. They are aught but deflections. Happily, your ilk is in serious decline—and whatever society arises as a result of your repudiation will be infinitely preferable to the pathetic regime which preceded it—policies which have proven to be abject failures since the moment they were conceived—and, of course, Tyrannical to boot.

This nation has been learning the harsh lessons of Prohibition—in all of its asinine forms—for decades. That's why thinking Americans are increasingly and categorically rejecting it. Moving forward, Americans are going to address society's ills without dispensing with so much of that pesky Freedom which seems to make things so difficult for the bullies who always want to take shortcuts. Authoritarians on the Right—and their analogs on the Left—can rationalize their attacks on Liberty only with emotion, deflection, and misrepresentation.

Movies like Reefer Madness—which are now widely recognized as hysterical propaganda—seem to have had a lasting effect on some of the more impressionable and strident Drug War zealots around here. No matter. Such fear-mongering is seen precisely for what it is by the bulk of the populace at this point, and there will be no undoing the progress that's being steadily made against the oppressive and destructive Prohibitionist Mind.

Just as with the unfortunate addicts, there will always be some parochial dinosaurs around to serve as cautionary examples which show the folly of blind reliance on arbitrary law, the horrid abuses which ensue which it is tolerated, and the reliance on hysterical emotion—rather than reason—in a futile attempt to justify it.

So smear away...

In the long run, of course. But, I’m practical and live in the now. I leave to God what God will do.

I have always kept in mind what Ernest Hemingway's character said in "The Sun also Rises" when asked how he went bankrupt.

"Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”

My point here is that when a correction occurs, it quite often takes us by surprise. Maybe we won't see a correction in our lives, but it is like our national Debt or a packed snow bank. When it gets piled so high, the chances become more likely that it will collapse, and sweep us all away.

I counsel people to always remember the stresses piling up.

I think you’re on the right track. Just keep using your brain and your eyes and don’t accept what anyone says without checking it out for yourself. That especially applies to the media and to politicians.

I’m a late baby boomer, so I guess I’m a little older. In my hometown, the blacks were mostly in the southwestern part of town. Until the 6th grade, I never had a black as a classmate, that is until Thomas moved to town. His dad was VP of Travelers so they bought a new house, about 1/2 mile from my house. A year later, I got my first Hispanic classmate (and his family moved to a new house next to my black classmate. It was a new housing development.). I never met a gay people until college and I heard of Transgender when Rene Richards wanted to play tennis pro as a female.

Whoa! Wall of text!

Lol!

Blah blah blah.

Not worth reading.

Especially when we all know your tired droll dull stances: death to conservatives, and long live the libertarians because we and we alone epitomize freedom.

The problem is ya ain’t got the balls to be honest with us and say libertarianism boils down to the supremacy of a feeling, be it a WeedWanker high or the tingle from anal sex.

libertarianism does not equal freedom.

libertarianiism equals the tyranny of feelings, and nothing more.

Yeah, I was a teen, too, back in the puritanical 70's.

You talk to your friends about sex acts? Feltching, rim jobs, prolapsed rectums, Hep C, drug-resistant gonorrhea?

Really?

Even if true, you're talking about it as teens, who know, really, nothing about life.

To reiterate, I will pray that at some point you'll realize how little you know. It's called humility, and it's a (gasp) Christian virtue.

When Buggs Bunny wore dresses in my youth, we didn’t know what it may have meant regarding sexuality, except that it was funny.

Now, kids are exposed to sex far sooner than they can understand anything about it at all; we’re not allowing them to just be kids, and it’s causing them a lot of problems.

....did Jesus ignore the hooker or the tax collector? No. (I do read the Bible, but we don’t go to church every Sunday.)

Jesus did not ignore them, but do not think that Jesus condoned sin, for He did not. He told the adulterer to go and sin no more.

You are taking the easy way, which is "go along to get along", which leads to more of the same. It is the cowards route. Do you really think that you are in any way at all loving your errant friends by letting them slide into hell with their unrepentant sin? They need tough love from a true friend, not slimy, but loveless kisses from someone who may care more about his own social status than their eternal souls.
