Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) said on Wednesday that he is "relieved" GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore lost the Alabama race and won't be representing the Republican party in Congress.
"Relieved? Yes that's a good word. I'm relieved and I believe a lot of Republicans are relieved that Roy Moore and some of his people aren't the face of the Republican party," he told reporters when asked if he was feeling any relief over Tuesday's election results.

I hope Shelby’s primary opponents are filing the paperwork now.
Shelby is a former De3mocrat who only changed because the South turned Republican. Under the surface he’s still a democrat.
He needs a primary.
Yep, Doug Jones is now the face of the republican party. Proud moment, isn’t it senator?
83 isn’t old-most out here are ranchers, business owners, etc-so is Shelby sick with something fatal, like that other detestable RINO McCain?
But really, what’s the difference? Don’t 9/10ths of the Republicans in Congress agree with Democrats on most things, or at least, agree with where Democrats are going but just want to slow the “progress”? Who is an advocate in Congress for the unborn? For the right of the people to keep and bear arms? (The Democrats attempted to assassinate the last true advocate of RKBA in the House, and these days he is trying to keep his nose clean).
It’s 2 years. Election November of 2020. Term ends January of 2021.
The system is rigged. It needs to be burned down. Rhetorically, of course.
Shelby was a D before Alabama demographics forced him to became an R. It looks like he’s a D again. He could care less about anyone but himself.
I agree with you. And it will be LESS than 5-10 years. We are headed full-throttle in the maw of the Fourth Turning Crisis. Read the book, “Fourth Turning.” It happens about every 80 years (WWII was the last one) but some are worse than others. This one is going to be MASSIVE. Deaths in the hundreds of millions, I expect.
If they try and impeach Trump best we drop the rhetoric. Our kids and grand kids are going to inherit this nation.
I doubt it. No more Christian Conservatives will be elected in Alabama. Roy Moore was the last hope. That’s all, folks.
“Its 2 years. Election November of 2020. Term ends January of 2021.”
Wouldn’t that be three years?
.
Will they? I expect it will break up before I die.
When is the last time a republican candidate ran on a liberty platform or extolled the virtues of liberty in public remarks. In our hallowed halls of higher education, liberty is condemned as an attribute of white privilege.
You know, the more I thought about how hard the whole establishment, including dems/repubs/the medias/etc. all coordinated & munipulated, to came down on one God-fearing man. Only those backed by pure evil would do something like that. It really does make one wonder if those rumors about Luciferians running our governments are more than true.
Maybe this is all a part of more awakening.

I was never good at numbers, but I am an engineer.
:-)
That pretend switch is why he is a detestable RINO-willing to change his party when demographics shift so he can keep his snout in the taxpayer trough-it is also why I was halfway hoping he might have soon-to-be-fatal malady like McCain...
Trump himself declared he wouldn’t win the general.. Trump was right.
