...after AP Calls Alabama Race for Democrat Doug Jones
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
One more interesting note....
In past elections, usually only 2 border counties go blue. One on the MS side, one on the GA side.
This time, 4 on the MS border, 4 on the GA border, and 1 on the TN border. Things that make you go mmmmmmm......
Not surprising. Question is what can legally be done?
>> This election needs to be investigated,
Exactly.
How likely is that to happen. More likely, the FEC will send some people over to examine the records. If they find probable cause, they’ll investigate further and maybe prosecute. If not, they’ll close the case as another sour-grapes complaint. Making noise might help the FEC people take a closer look. Then again, it might have the opposite effect.
But Moore said a mouthful at his pre-election day rally, when he said that sometimes the odds are too steep to overcome, and then all that’s left to do is stand against them. Win or lose, he stood.
With all the hoopla going on before this election, I’m wondering why Kris Kobach’s Election Integrity Commission didn’t have a strong presence there. It was ripe for fraud; everybody knew that.
It wouldn’t take much to assign people just to follow and film busloads of fraudulent voters from polling place to polling place. That’s at a minimum. That commission might be as elusive as the Big Informant Campbell being represented by Victoria Toensing. What ever happened to that guy?
Establishment Republicans and Democrats, at least theoretically, still work for the Executive Branch of the federal government, which at least theoretically takes its orders from Trump. If he really wants to push for it, they’ll do his bidding. But his support for Moore was belated and half-hearted, and his congratulations to Jones a bit too prompt. He wants to be shut of the whole thing, and get on to the next item on his agenda.
“They are a CO-EQUAL BRANCH called the “LEGISLATIVE BRANCH” of the THREE Branches of our REPUBLIC !”
The LEGISLATIVE BRANCH does not go around investigating elections willy nilly. In the ordinary course of things, that’s done by the Federal Elections Commission, part of the Executive Branch. Sometimes they do conduct hearings on matters of particular concern, but usually not in the first instance, before the Executive Branch has even had a chance to look into it. It’s only been two days. Roy Moore has made a speech about a recount, but he has to file a complaint or somesuch formal thigamajigger, either with the State of Alabama or the FEC, or both. Talk of congressional hearings at this point is premature, let alone the projected supposed attitude of members of Congress to such a putative hearing.
Yosemite then: They are a CO-EQUAL BRANCH called the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH of the THREE Branches of our REPUBLIC !
Yosemite now:
It’s NOT the Legislative Branch’s job to investigate it!
That power falls UNDER the EXECUTIVE BRANCH !
Are you by any chance schizophrenic? Obnoxious, definitely. But first you write in screaming caps that the legislative branch is co-equal to the executive and all three have investigative powers, and now you’re somehow deluded into thinking that it’s exclusively the province of the executive. If you’re schizophrenic, get help. If you’re just trying to be obnoxious, you don’t need any help. You succeeded.
The Executive Branch generally does most of the investigating and prosecuting. Sometimes the Legislative convenes committees that hold hearings to investigate matters of particular interest, where the Executive is either conflicted or has done a crap job, or just to have a media circus.

You’re joking, right?

There is no legitimate reason for vote anonymity.

If he can convince them there was, more power to him. Good luck to him on that. Being peeved that he lost isn’t enough.

Go back to sleep.

Dallas county - a large, BLUE, county was the very last to report...and it stayed blank for a long time, with no precincts reporting...and then all of a sudden at the end, enough votes were found to push Jones over the top...barely.
Highly populated democrat urban districts are always the very last to report and and amazingly have juuuust enough votes to throw the Democrat over the top...magic...
Though it would not be nearly as exciting to watch, I wonder if it would not be better to delay reporting of any precinct totals until all can be displayed...
Just the very tip of the ice berg. Don’t put anything past them. They are desperate and already getting ugly.
