Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) did not mince words when asked to comment on Tuesday night's election results in Alabama. When asked what he believed the "message" from last night was, Johnson said that "Alabamians didn't want somebody who dated 14-year-old girls."
He then said that Steve Bannon should learn that the GOP needs better candidates in order to win Senate races before going into an office away from the camera.
NBC News tweeted a video of the exchange.

Well, golly. Tell us how you really feel, Johnson, don't hold back!
Johnson has been critical of Roy Moore after nine women came forward to say he behaved inappropriately towards them. In November, Johnson said the allegations were disqualifying and said that if he were elected, he doubted that the Senate would actually seat him. He also said that if he were in Moore's shoes, he would have resigned as a candidate.
Moore was defeated by Democrat Doug Jones by a slim margin. He has refused to concede the race.
He is not up for reelection. Tammy Baldwin is though
His premise is Roy Moore dated a 14 year old girl 40 years ago.
One, Not sure that is true.
Two, is there something Ron did 40 years ago that he might not do now.
Tammy Baldwin has been an ardent lesbian for many years.
There ought to be a girl or two who was hit on and did not like it, out there.
They sure are totally the stupid party + establishment. I have a 99% feeling that this nation will be Europe in 20 yrs. There will be nothing but communist elites controlling every aspect of life & I doubt very highly that the so-called patriots will do anything about it but talk. This was a big lose & I can see this as a projection to next yrs election.
Not at all. I just think he is some kind of retard.
Yeah ... All the Swampocrats are happy with Swampocrat Senator Jones.
For those that seem to be unaware senators have to run for reelection every six year.
Every Congressman (Representative of the House) has to run every 2 years.
You can sit home next year, it doesn’t matter. He is not up for reelection.
Gee, thanks I didn’t know that!
The (R’s) won’t get any more votes from this guy. At my age I am just fed up with the continuing line of crap spewing from inside the beltway.
It seems that many in the forum are unaware that all 450 members of the House have to run every two years for reelection, and senators every six years. This means Senator Johnson is not up until 2022 for reelection.
I like how you think, and agree. I’ll do as much as I can on Twitter. :-)
Rinos dont let Conservatives who win in a primary go on to win their general election. Mitch screwed McDaniel in Mississippi with the old goat Cochran. I am not giving money or voting for Rinos. From now on I will vote for a Democrat over Republican in name only.
Pot...kettle.
There were other candidates, and those ‘better’ candidates lost. THe party needs to learn that the people pick the candidate, and the party needs to fund them to win the general. We’ve lost too many who have been cut off at the knees. Moore was far from a great candidate, but he should have easily won in Alabama.
I hate these people with every breath I take...
Do they NOT understand that their behavior is showing exactly how worthless and corrupt our government is? Do they NOT see that their behavior perpetuating the dawning concept of an exclusive club which works for its own power while the American people are suffering?
I will not be a member of the uni-party!
The next Senate election in Alabama is in 2020, which means he has to run for reelection.
Traitor to the GOP?
Does that mean you are going to vote for some third party candidates who have absolutely no chance whatsoever? You might as well stay home and not bother voting at all.

You mean do what Senator Shelby just did in Alabama? What’s good for the goose..
Oh, I must have misread that as TED CRUZ said this stuff about Roy Moore.
I seem to recall he did say something worse than this, before the election...
