Sadly, Mitch McConnell and the Republicans succeeded in what no Democrat could: Elect a democrat to the senate. This is why I left the Republican party.

Jones finishes the remainder of Sessions's term.
” good evidence that we cannot ignore weak and flawed candidates”
Moore was a very bad choice even before the pedophile accusations.
Primary time for the lot of them.
Doug Jones may end being the Alabama version of Scott Brown.
Thanks and you’re right. Next time, we’ll get it right.
its,,,not it’s
My mistake. What a huge disappointment from the Bama folks today though.
“Moore did a completely inept and pathetic job in refuting the charges
Absolutely.
Shawn Hannity also did a number on Moore, who allowed himself to be bushwacked in a telephone interrogation on national television. Not smart.”
can’t argue with either of these points
“We must pick really good conservative candidates and stop listening to Bannon.”
Hey, I sent $100 to Mo Brooks early.
Because I knew Moore was a Charlatan and opposed to the rule of law. The people of Alabama knew it too.
Sadly, Republican primary voters in AL did not.
I agree, and if I were Jones, I would not think that we’ll have amateur hour again next time. Republicans will reclaim Alabama, but it won’t be with deeply flawed candidates. It will be with smart, principled conservatives who haven’t lived a life that is so brazen they should be in jail.
“What happened?”
Roy Moore.
The margin of difference was the write-in votes.
When Fox put that 10% poll out for Jones I knew the fix was in.
I recall hearing about that, and I'm in CA. Was it ads that said that? I can't remember. At some point, voter intimidation laws should be enforced.
Is it true there was only a 34% turnout?
Gee, do you think Al Franken will decide to stay? (Barf!)
Deplorable.
But remember that all the votes aren’t counted yet.
Bannon needs to vet his chosen candidates better ...Moore is a crackpot and was a horrible candidate ... Mo Brooks could have bridged the gap ... McConnell and Bannon both effed this up ...
We had to taste a little bitter defeat in 2012 to get back on track.
However, Bannon's strategy is correct. We have a fixed two party system, and have been this way since the Civil War. The only way to break the Uniparty's grip is too wrest the GOP from the likes of McConnell, Cornyn, Ryan, et. al. Moore and other candidates, like Kelli Ward, are the means of doing so.
The gloating from the MSM and faux conservatives like Fox News, National Review, Hugh Hewitt, etc., will be sickening tomorrow. I won't listen to the gloating, better to listen to some good music.
