White House press secretary Sarah Sanders isn't a big fan of the media.
Which is, of course, her right.
The relationship between any White House and any press corps tasked with covering that White House is almost always fraught and fractious.
But, on Monday, Sanders made an accusation that went way, way beyond the pale of the usual give and take between White House and press corps. Here's what she said:
"There's a very big difference between making honest mistakes and purposefully misleading the American people. Something that happens regularly. You can't say -- I'm not done. You can't say that it's an honest mistake when you are purposely putting out information that you know to be false or when you're taking information that hasn't been validated, that hasn't been offered any credibility and that has been continually denied by a number of people including people with direct knowledge of an incident. This is something that -- I'm speaking about the number of reports that have taken place over the last couple of weeks. I'm simply stating that there should be a certain level of responsibility in that process."
Yes, there is a big difference between honest mistakes and purposely misleading people by reporting information that you know to be false. But, there's absolutely zero evidence -- cited by Sanders or anyone else in the Trump administration -- that any reporter covering the Trump White House has published something they knew to be false. Not any.

You're right, this is putting it WAY too nicely! But I guess "out of your freakin' mind" is not her style.
“But, there’s absolutely zero evidence — cited by Sanders or anyone else in the Trump administration — that any reporter covering the Trump White House has published something they knew to be false. Not any.”
Dear Chris “Baghdad Bob” Colizzi,
We have eyes and ears. Beyond that, we don’t need no stinkin’ evidence that you have no stinkin’ evidence.
“How about a fake picture representing lack of people at Trumps Pensacola speech?”
Don’t forget the fake pictures that showed more people at Hillary rallies than were actually there.
I think the best response is, “either you’re liars or unprofessional incompetents, there’s no other possibility, take your pick”.
methinks they doth protest too much
Honest mistatakes are random. If there is one article with mistakes that make Trump look bad there should be another with mistakes that make Trump look good.
All the media mistakes are meant to make Trump look bad.
Sarah kicks ass and the press briefing is a target rich environment.
Yep, the absolute truth is offensive to the MSM Enemedia LIARS!
LOL!
Yup, I didn't hear the news conference either - but I agree that she could not have possibly insulted the Media to the level that they deserve.
If there is a civil war and anyone captures a member of the media, keep them alive so they can be broken on the wheel.
Journalistic malpractice in spades.
Dear CNN....how in the world would it be possible to insult or demean you?!!!! you do such a complete job of demeaning yourself, what more could anybody else add?
Truth hurts. Put ice on it, MSM.
This is an apple. Some people might tell you it’s a banana....
LOL! You are right! I’ve even heard her say so!
The fake photo was intentional.
The candidate versus president elect was intentional in that it was grossly negligent
Evil or stupid?
I say both.
If all of these incidents are mistakes the law of averages requires a certain percentage of mistakes to be wrong AND be favorable toward Trump. Not one. Not mistakes. Just caught again.
