One of the women accusing Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of assaulting her as a teenager said on Friday she added the date and venue to an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, prompting attacks on her credibility and the competence of her lawyer, Gloria Allred. Many conservatives accused the attorney of mishandling the situation and claimed she'd essentially handed victory to Moore just four days before the election.
Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she amended an inscription from Moore in her high school yearbook, adding the date and location. Nelson maintained the rest of the note was written by Moore, though he and his lawyers have repeatedly stated he did not sign the yearbook. The inscription states: "To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say Merry Christmas. Christmas 1977. Love, Roy Moore, DA. 12-22-77 Olde Hickory House."
In November, Nelson claimed Moore attempted to force her to perform a sex act when she was a teenager in the 1970s and he was the deputy district attorney of Etowah County and in his 30s. She offered the yearbook inscription as evidence to bolster her accusation. At the time, Nelson and her lawyer, Allred, said the inscription was written by Moore and did not mention that Nelson had added the date and location. But Nelson's acknowledgement she wrote part of the note somewhat contradicts that. Some have since claimed Nelson admitted she "forged" the inscription, but this is not the case.
Allred held a press conference on Friday and brought a report from forensic document expert that said the note and signature were written by Moore and said the date and location were written by Nelson to "remind herself who Roy Moore was." It was not clear from her comments when Nelson made those additions.

Why would she need to “remind herself who Moore was” if she knew his name? Back then just look the name up in the phone book and there you go, home phone and address would be listed right there.
Obviously she didn’t fill in the info right away since by her claims she would have had to believe he was a DA when she wrote it in order to needed to remind herself of that fact. And since he was NOT the DA in the year she wrote on the note [1977], she must admit she wrote it sometime after he finally became a DA.
But why would she go back to write that in a year book? By that time a yearbook would be long forgotten. Why not write her notes in a handy notebook instead? On a card in a safe deposit box? On a note on the fridge? What’s the point?
If she was never going to do anything about what allegedly happened to her why keep notes at all?
And, if he did something heinous when she was a teen then why do nothing during the divorce about the conflict of interest to get a different judge?
Her claims stink to high heaven.
Judge Moore will win, IMHO, because he is a God fearing man. I think the win will be by around 10 points.

That’s what I think also...likely sometime after Moore is sworn into office. After all, ‘RATS will be ‘RATS.
It reads “Ray” — look at the way the writer wrote “say” and it matches.

This is the first time I have seen the inscription, I am a professional land surveyor and review engineering drawings in my daily work. I.e. I look for straight lines all day long.
Aside from the difference in the inks,the alignment of the words jumped out at me immediately! Glad that someone else noticed that!
The top story on Breitbart right now is about an Alabama focus group, and how Frank Luntz just can’t believe they are standing behind Roy Moore.
He hits them with everything, and they are un-moved. Finally, he plays the race card. He says that 97% of African American Alabamans are going to vote for Doug Jones, and asks why that is. My favorite is the guy who figures that if they are voting for Jones, they must be stupid.
I always found this argument interesting. White voters will split 60/40 or 70/30, while the Black vote is monolithic, and somehow this means the White vote is intolerant. Which group is intolerant? The one with diversity of opinion of the one that marches in lock-step?
It was obvious she did because of the “DA” thing.
Also remember that two of the real waitresses stated they never remembered Nelson working for that restaurant.

What the??? She hands him a chastity belt like some kind of perv and HE pays her $20K and apologizes because he called her a “slick butch lawyer”?? There would not be enough middle fingers in this universe to shove in her face if she sued me and this is back 1981 when there wasn’t this hysteria over gay slurs like today when “butch” could mean anything. What a wuss. This guy was conservative and this el primo example of why California is now all Rat, no balls to stand up to these leftist slimebags not to mention when you surrender like that it encourages them.

It’s worse than when you realise she must have referenced her divorce papers — long after the supposed initial inscription. That alone is a good argument for forgery as the only reason to add the stamped style signature means she intended to deceive.
