The attack that left Republican Sen. Rand Paul with six cracked ribs outside his Kentucky home came after a long-simmering disagreement with a 17-year neighbor over grass clippings, according to a report.
An acquaintance of both men said the fellow doctors stood in their yards about 10 years ago and shouted at each other about grass clippings that Pauls lawn mower sprayed onto Bouchers property, the Washington Post reported.
The feds said they are investigating the case, in which Boucher could be charged under federal statutes that include a provision that bars assaults on members of Congress and other high-ranking government officials, the paper reported.

“Living on acreage is the way to go.”
—
One of my sons went that route.
The first time I visited I asked him where the sidewalks and streetlights were?
Needless to say I prefer urban or inner suburb living. :-)
.
In my yard the last leaf falls in April.
Kind of hard to use that strategy.
They use them in places where they mulch the lawn waste. They can grind up the bags with the leaves and they compost just fine.
Horse Manure, a lying Fake News Enemedia ploy to excuse a premeditated assault on Paul designed to render him unable to execute his office.
Trying to get a DemoRat sacrificial ringer off easy.
Fake nonpolitical.
If Boucher’s attack was only over grass clipping, where's the evidence of other grass clipping confrontations over the past 10-years.
It's impossible to believe that either Paul hasn't mowed his lawn again during the past 10 years or Boucher hasn't been there to see him doing it over the past ten years.
Without showing other confrontations over the past 10-years, the "only over grass clippings" alibi collapses.
balderdash!
We use them in Nebraska. Best prices are when on sale at Menards. We use about 30 each fall, just for our one huge maple.
Yep,you certainly are interesting.:-)
Enjoy your acreage.
I am kind of surprised that Paul mows his own grass.
With his money I would have a law service.
Senator Paul is a man who thinks very highly of himself and we all saw the bile he reserved for Trump during the primary when Trump bested him. He can’t be an easy guy for any man not in thrall to him to get along with.
“Im trying to picture how he did so much damage with one quick tackle.”
If he tackled Rand onto his riding mower, I could see that kind of damage. The steering wheel and deck lever are kind of unforgiving. Don’t ask.
An acquaintance of both men said the fellow doctors stood in their yards about 10 years ago and shouted at each other about grass clippings..
Seriously?
L
“Somebody wake up the AG......”
I think he died!
“Kind of hard to use that strategy.”
But it makes for a great excuse!
I think so too.
Of course after the fact, his brilliant plan can’t be addressed by him for exactly what it was.
Now Mr. Big Stuff is a chicken.
IMO, this guy needs to do five to ten.
He could have killed him.
Need to call Mueller .... an expert at making fake news into years long investigations....would probably end up indicting Paul for disorderly grass mowing 10 years ago. The real coverup is the fake MSM creating absurd alibi for the mentally ill or mentally deficient Progressive neighbor.
I leave grass clippings where they fall. When mowing 4.5 acres I would be emptying every 15 minutes and turning a 4 hour job into a 6 hour job.
True it is an excellent excuse.
Trouble is those huge Oak leaves get glued to the ground by the snow and have to be raked off the grass in the spring.
That is a lot of hard work when you have two acres of lawn.
And me being the only one that has a hand that will fit a rake handle I would rather get as many off the lawn with my bagging tractor that I can.
This past Monday I spent five hours doing just that. That evening a cold front came in with winds gusting to 35 mph and it is hard to tell I did anything.
