Gerard Araud tweeted Thursday afternoon that “In this Pearl Harbor day, we should remember that the US refused to side with France and the UK to confront the fascist powers in the 30s.”
Mr. Araud deleted the tweet within a few minutes, though not before it had been screen-captured.

What I do know is that my great grandfather on my mother's side owned a Buick garage in Horton's Bay on Lake Charlevoix in northern Michigan that was frequented by Ernest Hemmingway. They had some American P-36's but again, they were no match for the 109.
To make things worse, most French fighters had no radios.
They weren’t fighting the war themselves til after invasion of France in 1940. What did they do about Czech and Austrian invasions of 1938?
I swear! Even today Western European countries act like spoiled little children who run around doing whatever they want and then turn to the United States when they get themselves into trouble. They then accept no responsibility for their actions and blame us.
