I hear just fine, and often have CC on just because some key dialog is often muddled in other noises, and to subtly get the kids to read more (associating spoken with written word).

This has happened many times before.
It happened a two of Obummer’s rallies in 2012.

One comment at the FOX News site said she be signing in Ebonics. And had one too many alcoholic drinks and was slurring her words?

Why do they even have these sign language people on anyway. News comes on TV,and TV has close captions.
To: Ruy Dias de Bivar
THey are not there for the tv audience.

I’m sure there will be someone on the thread momentarily to try to make a compelling case that these “signers” were ever intelligible in the first place.
We have instantaneous voice translation now, no reason for the charade that these people are somehow conveying anything that remotely resembles what the speaker is saying to continue.

Sorry to say it but interpreters are distracting with all the facial histrionics even if such emphasis is part and parcel of inflecting sign language.Oh yes, they are definitely FUNNY AS HELL!

Do we even need a sign language interpreter any more? Most people watch these things on TV and can just turn their captions on. I bet the 7 deaf people watching haven’t got a clue what these idiots are trying to say.
