According to the charging document, those false statements were that:
"On or about Dec 29, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Government of Russias Ambassador to the United States ... to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and FLYNN did not recall the Russian Ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request."
"On or about December 22, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Russian Ambassador to delay the vote on or defeat a pending United Nations Security Council resolution; and that the Russian Ambassador subsequently never described to FLYNN Russias response to his request.
1) They had the Russian Ambassador bugged.
2) Getting him for a "did not recall" (a subpoint of the first charge) is interesting; I would take that as meaning that they have something recorded or in writing from after their interview contradicting his lack of memory of the topic.
3) Flynn probably gave Mueller something for this, since it seems to be a negotiated deal. The question is, what?
When will Mueller plead guilty for being a co-conspirator in the Boston Marathon bombing?
Can someone tell me if Gulen is mentioned. Don’t have time to read.
Sounds like they are going to nail Kush, too, since guy was bugged. I talked about this long ago.
could you post a working link to article... thanks
I think this entire deal centers on the investigation just skipping the idea of kidnapping Gulen. In my book, it’s a serious thing if you just hint of kidnapping a guy, and if you were doing it for a foreign government....you ought to do some real jail-time.
It was a setup. Mueller charged him for misremembering details about a certain meeting.
3) Flynn probably gave Mueller something for this, since it seems to be a negotiated deal. The question is, what?
Flynn is a loose cannon. His pro Islamist Turkey op-ed published on ELECTION DAY was just bizarre. He’ll give Mueller whatever he wants, IMO.
ABC reporting that Flynn will testify about Trump. After he pleads guilty for lying to the feds and got fired by Trump for lying to Pence. Seems as if his credibility is in the toilet. Nevertheless Trump should have fired Mueller a long time ago as he is a partisan operative for the RATS.
Never liked Flynn and his coziness to Turkey radicals.
First of all, why am I required to tell the FBI anything?
Second, why am I required to tell the FBI the truth unless I’m under oath?
Third, why would I be under oath?
Is the answer to all of these questions “Never talk to the FBI?”
3) Flynn probably gave Mueller something for this, since it seems to be a negotiated deal. The question is, what?
It was in exchange for not going after his son. If they really had something they wouldn’t have to do that. As heard on the Mark Simone show this morning.
Here’s the most important part of the article:
Flynn, who was interviewed by the FBI just days after Trump’s inauguration, was forced to resign in February after White House officials said he had misled them about whether he had discussed sanctions with the ambassador, Sergey Kislyak.
If anything, it will make Trump look even better in the end.
Flynn was a senior executive branch appointee who was being interviewed by the FBI as a matter of course during the background check as part of the nomination process.
Said from day one Mueller was the worst pick Trump could have named. He’s the worst of the swamp creatures.
Yes he will. I have posted previously about this. Mueller with unlimited power and funding can get targets to testify to anything in exchange for a deal. Mueller will get falsified testimony with supporting documentation created by the deep state and his team of get Trump at any cost legal team. The law is now just a partisan tool and Mueller and his team need to be neutralized.
So Flynn lied about doing a perfectly legal thing.
What am I missing here?
First of all, why am I required to tell the FBI anything?
= = =
If you don’t, is that “impeding an investigation”?
