I recall a Pennsylvania case not too long ago about a guy shooting wild on a firing range and the bullet went off the property and killed someone. There was some type of murder conviction.

In most states (not sure about CA), the prosecution cannot request a change in venue, only the defense.
That said, the prosecution f*cked up big-time here. The guy admitted shooting the gun, told a whole bunch of conflicting stories about why he shot it, and they couldn’t even get involuntary manslaughter? Utter incompetence (or worse).
If not murder certainly manslaughter. Incompetence by the DA and a bunch of leftist loons on the jury

Certainly there would be anger I was a Marine and am a father but I am not sure I could kill a man in cold blood for an accident. Premeditated event, give me a baseball bat and two or three days with the guy, no problem.
