SAN FRANCISCO — After nearly a week of deliberations, a jury of six men and six women has announced they have reached a verdict deciding the fate of an undocumented immigrant accused of fatally shooting 32-year-old Kate Steinle two years ago at San Francisco’s Pier 14.

You are right he will “walk” and soon be free. The sentence for a felon in possession of a handgun is 16 months to 3 years in California. Since he has already served over two years awaiting trial he most likely will be released upon sentencing.

Disgusting, shameful and thoroughly demoralizing for all those who desperately want to believe in our Justice system. I feel so sorry for Kate’s family. Their grief and sorrow must be unbearable. I feel sick.

Kate Steinle's parents came out in 2015 and said they didn't like the use of the term "Kate's Law" for the Federal law under consideration to cut funding to sanctuary cities because -- and I believe this is an exact quote from her father -- they "aren't necessarily against sanctuary cities."

Well, if they are bleeding heart liberals, then I'm not going to get my blood pressure up on their behalf.
