President Donald Trump questioned the politics of his decision to finally acknowledge former President Barack Obama was born in the US, which he did late during the campaign in 2016, according to a source close to the White House.
The source said that shortly after he made the statement, Trump told aides that he would have done better in the polls had he continued to stand his ground on the birth certificate issue.
Trump has continued to question the legitimacy of Obama's birth certificate during private conversations in recent months, The New York Times reported Tuesday, citing advisers who discussed Trump's statements.
Trump still questioning Obama's birthplace is just one of several instances The Times pointed to as examples of the President's reliance on "manufactured facts," as the newspaper reported Tuesday.
One sitting US senator quoted by the Times, "who listened as the President revived his doubts" about the issue, "chuckled" when speaking about what was said. Trump "has had a hard time letting go of his claim that Mr. Obama was not born in the United States," the senator, who "asked not to be named to discuss private conversations," told The New York Times.

That was my first take as well, but consider this: If Obama had been found unqualified as he clearly should have been, the Congress would have selected Hillary to serve.
So the question for our elders - who were quite familiar with the history of the Clintons - may have been as to which of the two presented the greatest threat to our national well-being.
The NY Times’ little tweek smeering Trump as a conspiracy theorist for his renewed interest in Barry’s BC picked up by CNN yesterday has brought out Zullo to let us know that Sheriff Joe is still on the case, it seems!

You’re welcome! So glad Trump is reported to be “questioning” Barry’s BC. How could he forget Barry’s Correspondent’s Dinner humiliation! He has got to get legal access to Barry’s hidden federal records and HI records. It has got to be done legally, though.
Why, because he said he was....that means he wasn't. Of course he also said he was born in Kenya.
So that rules out both places. Some say he was born in Canada.
Of course that all depends on who he really is...as if we really know.
This is very much the theory I have been advancing for the last seven years or so. They wouldn't let a newborn fly on an aircraft in those days, so Stanley Ann would have had to have already been in the vicinity of Washington when the baby was born. She had an aunt that lived in Blaine Washington, which was right on the border with White Rock Canada.
I do, I do!
But are they his daughters, or simply living props purchased from some desperate crack-ho?

No he was NOT born in the USA, he was born abroad and then had an infant birth certificate issued in Hawaii AS IF he had been born there, just like thousands of Japanese and Chinese had done historically, including Sun Yat Sen at one point.If you were an arthropod like say. an orangutan, with the correct number of appendages, you could get a birth certificate in Hawaii.
Obama was not defacto born in the USA. His birth in the USA was constructed illegally, which offends the Constitutional requirement.
President Trump knows this, and I hope for one that he proves it, just to destroy the lefts underground “resistance “ of Ptesident Trump , lead by Obama who is following Alinsky’s rules for radicals in usurping the Trump administration.

I think that Obama was the original Birther: he claimed foreign birth in order to make himself seem more interesting. Most likely, he claimed to be a foreign student during college as well. The SOB was probably born in the US, but fabricated everything else in his history.
The entire country was defrauded by an imposter for 8 long years.
One thing we know: Obama was not born in the US. Here’s how you can be sure.
There are zero witnesses in HI who claim to have seen Obama’s mother there during her pregnancy or in the months following Obama’s birth. She was NOT living at the address listed on both the fabricated birth certificate and the birth announcements.
After disappearing for ~10 months, Stanley Ann popped up like a rabbit out of a hat in Seattle. She had a newborn baby with her. The baby was too young to fly under ‘61 airlines rules and technology, and Stanley Ann certainly hadn’t just flown 2,683 miles on a lark. If she’d given birth in HI, she’d have stayed there.
Now if Obama had been born in Seattle, there would have been no need to fabricate a HI birth. He could have proved he was born on US soil simply by producing the Washington state birth certificate.
Instead he and his enablers spun a ridiculously false story about how his mother had married Obama Sr and lived with him as man and wife for two years. Every single detail of that story is a demonstrable lie.
The reason they told it was precisely to keep people from asking how Stanley Ann Dunham could have magically appeared in Seattle with a newborn if she’d given birth 2,683 miles away. They hid the Seattle appearance until Obama’s lying enablers could poison the issue with the, ‘stupid, crazy birther,’ mantra. Once the Alinskyites had toxified ‘birtherism,’ no one dared ask even the most reasonable questions. They couldn’t bear to be labeled, ‘birthers.’
This is why Alinsky dedicated his book to Satan. Alinsky tactics depend on wholesale deception, and Satan is the Father of Lies.
