Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY) exhibited mounting frustration Wednesday with the inaction on Capitol Hill in light of the recent sexual allegations. She has called for the resignation of both Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) and Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) and even walked out of the House Democrats morning conference meeting saying harassment wasnt being addressed seriously. I dont have time for meetings that arent real, she told reporters.

Rice asked House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) Wednesday to release one of Conyerss accusers from her confidentiality agreement which was part of a $27,000 settlement in 2015.
Rice argues that since the accuser attempted to seek help through a deeply flawed system she should not continue to be silenced by the institution that failed to protect her in the first place.
Under the settlement, the complainant was forced into a non-disclosure agreement and has been unable to openly discuss the workplace harassment and abuse she was subjected to, Rep. Rice writes, while Rep. Conyers and his attorney, Arnold Reed, have been free to make their case to the public.
Three additional women (Maria Reddick, Melanie Sloan, and Deanna Maher) have been able to speak publicly about harassment by Rep. Conyers because they chose not to pursue a complaint through a system that is now universally acknowledged to be stacked against the victim, she added.
Mr. Reed has made clear his client will not release the former employee from the agreement, and it is unclear whether the Office of Compliance, the House Ethics Committee, House Employment Counsel, or some combination of the three has the authority to do so, Rice concludes. As Speaker of the House, I urge you to immediately intervene to right this wrong. The woman named in the settlement agreement with Rep. Conyers deserves the opportunity to tell her story and I ask you to swiftly intercede on her behalf.
Speaker Ryan and prominent GOP leaders held a press conference Wednesday addressing the issue of sexual harassment and announcing an upcoming vote on a resolution that requires mandatory training for members, staff, and interns on appropriate and inappropriate behavior.
"Sexual harassment has no place in any workplace -- let alone the United States Congress," Ryan said.
The swamp is more like a Toilet!
Good girl, they say he is 88,sounds like he’s a little nuts.He should fake sick and go home.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. In this environment, even if there are additional $$ penalties tacked on for violating the agreement, I’m willing to bet the money needed to pay for violating the contract could be raised in hours.
Huh? You think behavior like Lauer’s doesn’t deserve a 2x4 on the noggin, rhetorically speaking? (Or a high heel in just the right spot?)
These behaviors now being exposed (Lauer, Weinstein, Conyers, etc.) have nothing to do with real manhood. Apehood, maybe.
No, i think it might be fake, consensual, money driven, or part of the current Salem mass hysteria of the pussyhat brigade trying to eradicate white males.
I think this is a power play, from revolutionary socialists. Its no different from Antifa, BLM, the anti-white movement, etc.
I’m not buying the hysteria.
I will be honest, i think until there is proof they shouldn’t say anything. The presumption of male guilt and the destruction of their lives on said presumption is entirely unjust and unfair.
This is a witch hunt where a woman’s vengeful or opportunistic word is enough to destroy a man’s life. Reverse that and tell me how its fair, for a man’s mere claim to destroy a woman’s life?
This is wrong, and unjust, and it must stop. for if it doesn’t there will be no safe way for people to work or live together.
Yes I agree, but in the case of Franken there are photos which Franken himself has verified as true. Personally I think Trump is behind ALL of this, what he is doing is cleaning the swamp not only in Washington but the media as well. He’s got connections with EVERYBODY and he is on a mission of major fumigation especially after the matriarch of the Clinton crime family Hillary F. Clinton hired all those actresses to tag Trump as a sexual deviant, most of whom have been discredited by the way. Just hold on to your seat, pretty soon it will be over. I grew up in NYC I’ve known Trump since the late 1970s, he’s a genius when it comes to playing people, he never ever loses. When he first announced he was running for President I said the election was over, that he was the next President. There’s a TON of scmbags harming this country so please don’t show any sympathy for them. Most of them of multi-millionaires who never have to work again and they are/were doing tremendous harm to this nation.
#4. Re Sandra Fluke. Like a dead fluke fish, her political career is long dead and smelly.
Besides, the fraudulent women’s right bitch was fighting for $9.00 a month for birth control pills (which are easily available) but left out the fact that she was marrying the son of a millionaire. What a fraud, but then, again, she ran as a Democrat for congress and got her flukes chopped off at the ballot box.
Now she is just swimming around in circles in a sea of anonymity somewhere in “forgotten land”.
And the sponsors of the Rush Limbaugh radio program who stopped advertising on it because of what Rush said about her (all true), were the ones who suffered.
Payback can be a bigger bitch than a stinky Fluke.
The public sector has it too although one wonders if the Congressional Branch has it. We ought to be lucky they are feeling up women and not children (although some clearly branch out).
She grew up on long island. Catholic university. Was a republican until 2004. Then came back to new york city switched parties and was elected as a D.A. must have had some values before turning for political expediency. Come home . Your conscience is calling.
The two great things are 1) There are going to be VERY few Republicans harassers, because they get outed & removed almost instantaneously and 2) President Trump got his innoculation shot last October. :)
BUMP!
I so called this.Am I good or what.

The 88 year olds blood flow to the brain has been diverted.
Someone needs some discipline. Call in Matt Lauer.
I gave up on the democraps long ago for them to do the right thing. I remember when Gary Condit was trying to hide/dispose of evidence when Chanda Levi was murdered. And the media and democraps stood behind him.
Training? I guess they think WE are going to fall for it. These people are supposed to be leading the country and they need "training" to behave? All the while they write laws and tell US how to behave? Every one of them needs to have a drug and alcohol test, if they test positive they are out! That should take care of the majority of them.
Folks, we are in deeper trouble than we know.
[I actually heard some news person on the radio use the term “gender harassment.”
I’d like to see how far they can float that canard. ]
I can see where its going.
Craigslist will have ads for "trannies who have been accosted by a famous person - we pay cash."
