Garrison Keillor, the former host of "A Prairie Home Companion," says he's been fired by Minnesota Public Radio over allegations of improper behavior.
Keillor told The Associated Press of his firing in an email. In a follow-up statement, he says he was fired over "a story that I think is more interesting and more complicated than the version MPR heard."

Boring voice with homespun humor some liked.Hey bob a ree bob rhubarb pie.
Talk host Howie Carr started a perv pool last week. He’ll do it today 4pm Eastern (winner had Matt Lauer)
I like his work if not his political views. But really enough with mere allegations being enough to get a man sent to Coventry. The boundaries of what is and what is not acceptable behavior towards female co-workers seems to be shifting with mild unwelcome flirtation being scored the same as gross vulgar physical contact.
Some women need to get a grip and ask themselves if they have always behaved in a professional manner. I’d use the term lady-like but Heaven forbid. My point is that most men are not salivating unchained sex hounds ready to pounce at even the most demure behavior. Sexist as it may be in the majority of male-female encounters the woman sets the tone.
Wouldnt bothFranken and Keillor look good under bridges? Theyd be among the best looking in the magical world of evil trolls.
I was a fan of his several decades ago. That came to a gradual and complete halt when he went 100% liberal on his shows, bashing all things conservative, including all republican presidents. Fie on him.
Thats funny. No, really! IM the victim. But, you know. Whatever. Kay by me.
Improper behavior?
He took two coffee mugs???
It was like MASH that way. At the end of its run, it had been The Alan Alda Show for several years and unwatchable. Sounds like APHC went the same way and became Keillors Goodtime Kooktime Hour.
The new host is leftist as well (it's required), but he mostly keeps it to himself. He doesn't do obnoxious poltical humor and most of his guest comedians (not all) stay out of it as well.
Garrison is interested in WOMEN? Now, that’s a shock.
So far, there’s a pattern to the names Grijalva, Green, Weinstein, Franken, Rose and now Keillor: They are all uglier than sin, which probably explains why they had to first acquire power in order to grope with supposed impunity.

The problem with the NFL is that their stars are kneeling.
The problem with NPR is that their stars want their aides to kneel.
I can’t find any evidence that Keillor’s offense was “with a woman”. Could it be the inappropriate conduct was involving some other life form?
The story has been updated to say he claims he put his hand on a woman’s back. His hand went six inches into her shirt.
I never thought of Rose as ugly when he was young; but if your nature is ugly you become so physically as you age...
Hard leftist bites the dust. Winning.
“says he’s been fired by Minnesota Public Radio over allegations of improper behavior.”
What? Did he get caught spitting in the Powder Milk biscuits again?
I like the new show and have always liked PHC for music I don’t hear elsewhere. One memorable performance in recent years was Colin Hay of Men at Work doing an acoustic version of “Overkill.” Very lovely voice.
Certainly this guy is no peach, but it seems as though his contact with the woman was somewhat innocent- at least not as blatantly sexual as other instances that have come to light with others recently.
Ummm, hate to tell you but they haven’t had anything original on in years. You can find all these artists’ performances online. Colin Hays has been doing MAW songs acoustic for years and has had that acoustic album out forever. He even has a YouTube channel.
There is nothing you need to listen to PHC for. Ever.
