The Real John Conyers Scandal - Staying in Congress For 52 Years!

Posted on 11/29/2017 8:16:10 AM PST by pinochet

John Conyers was elected to Congress in 1964, the same year Barry Goldwater ran for President. He has served in Congress for a longer time than Fidel Castro served as leader of Cuba (49 years).

When he started serving in Congress on January 3, 1965, Winston Churchill was still alive. The immediate former British Prime Minister, David Cameron, had not been born. Ronald Reagan had not began running for his first term as Governor of California. House Speaker, Paul Ryan, had not been born. Neither had Ted Cruz. Obama was not even in first grade. Donald Trump completed high school in the same year (1964) that Conyers was elected.

We desperately need term limits. 20 years is too long for a person to serve in Congress. Anybody who holds on to a congressional seat for 52 years should be ashamed of himself. Who the hell does he think he is? Why can't he step aside and give a younger person a chance to serve in Congress?

One and done.

House, Senate, President.

All of them.

One and done.

He needs to go, but he won’t. His presence is proof that the democrat party is on the side of America-haters.

Who else would hire Conyers but the ignorant Democrat voters of Detroit? And he’s become a multimillionaire as a “public servant,” proving you can fool enough people to keep your nose in the federal trough for 52 years!

When people wonder why there aren’t more black governors, or senators, etc. the reason is people like John Conyers. People who’ve been in Congress since before the glaciers receded and who have blocked anybody else from that rung on the ladder which leads upward. Imagine if instead of one guy for half a century plus there were seven or eight people each serving six or eight years and then moving on to something else.

He has served in Congress

That is one way of looking at it. Seems more like we the taxpayers were his loyal servants.

I was looking at the list. Thad Cochran and Don Young 44 years. Pat Leahy and Chuck Grassley, 42 years. Ed Markey and Orrin Hatch, 41 and 40 years respectively. And on and on and on. It boggles the mind.

When patriots support Pres. Trump in working with the states to amend term limits and recall provisions to the Constitution, the states should also repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.

The 17th Amendment is the real problem with the country imo.

This is why the only part of the Federal government originally to be elected by the people was the House of Representatives. The Senate was specifically not to be elected by the people, but instead of the state legislatures because of the tyranny of the majority who would elect the same horrible person over and over again. Just like they have in conyers.

One of our Detroit News Stations asked a woman Detroiter about Conyers’s Groping’s and she said I'd give him a pass because of all he's did for us?

As long as your a black Dem in a Dem black city, you can rape, grope and sexually have your way with any woman you want...and there's no accountability at all?

“He has served in Congress”

Served? He has been served by taxpayers for decades. He has ruled over us. And taken from us. Some “service”.

And nobody seems to remember that former Sen. Bob Packwood (R-Oregon) was utterly hounded out of office for far less allegations than what John Conyers is alleged to have done... over the years.

“When people wonder why there aren’t more black governors, or senators, etc. the reason is people like John Conyers.”

No, the reason is black voters who keep voting for him. Conyers is simply the result of black culture, just like Mugabe in Zimbabwe or Zuma in SA.

“He has served in Congress
That is one way of looking at it.”

The truth is we paid to have unnamed women “service” him. Cosby/ Conyers, self-serving “blacks” who have never had any thoughts other than what they can “take.”

Amen to that! Charlie Rangel stepped down last year after having held Adam Clayton Powell’s old seat in congress longer than Powell had.

One or the other of those two men represented that district in congress SINCE 1945! Seventy-two years! Most monarchies don’t last that long. Ugh!

Precisely. These “leaders” perfectly reflect the utter....fill in the blanks...of their voters.
