Another former staff member for Rep. John Conyers alleged Tuesday the Michigan Democrat made unwanted sexual advances toward her multiple times. Serving as a deputy chief of staff at the time, Deanna Maher, 77, said Conyers stripped in front of her in a Washington hotel room in 1997.
"I was absolutely shaking, and he took off his clothes," Maher told CNN. "Then I figured out, 'Oh my god, what did I do? How stupid at my age that I walked in and got myself into a situation like that.'"
Maher, who was in her 50s at the time, told the Associated Press she "felt honored" to attend a three-day Congressional Black Caucus event with Conyers, but later discovered they would be sharing a two bedroom hotel suite.

Article says she found out when she got there that they’d be sharing a 2 bedroom hotel suite. Maybe because it was a 2BR she had some more expectation of privacy than if it were just a normal hotel room? I don’t know.

Although it doesn't say when "later" is that she found out they'd be sharing a room. she nevertheless persisted and accepted the situation by rooming with the congressman. Under no circumstances within business travel would this ever be considered standard or normal. Either she had to know something was up or she is a complete moron and demonstrated she was not hired for her prowess and intuition.
Not completely exonerating Conyers' Bill Clinton standards, but come on! Twenty years later this woman has an epiphany and now goes public with this information?
