It has been formally announced this 27th day of November in the year 2017 that a British royal - Prince Henry of Wales (known to drinking buddies as Prince Harry) - is marrying an American divorcée.
The last time this happened - in 1936 when King Edward VIII decided to wed American socialite Wallis Simpson — it triggered a crisis inside Windsor Castle.
For one thing, Simpson was about to divorce for the second time. Also, she was from Baltimore.

Indeed. Barring a serious tragedy (God forbid), Harry will never be King. After Queen Elizabeth, the Line of Succession according to current law is as follows:
- Prince Charles
- Prince William
- Prince George
- Princess Charlotte
- Prince Harry
Once he or she is born, royal baby #3 will fit into the Line between Charlotte and Harry, pushing him down just one more spot (before the 2011 change in the law, royal baby #3 would have been before Charlotte if a boy, and after her if a girl).

Wallis Simpson must have been able to suck a ping pong ball through a pixie straw. Like this one she wasn’t much to look at either, eh wot?
Also, why would she want to marry into the world’s most dysfunctional family? I hope she is emotionally tough enough to survive the Windsors and their Firm.
