Sen. John McCain said Hillary Clinton erred in writing her account of the 2016 presidential race so quickly and noted her problem is that she doesnt have anything to do.
One of the almost irresistible impulses you have when you lose is to somehow justify why you lost and how you were mistreated: I did the right thing! I did! The hardest thing to do is to just shut up, the Arizona Republican told Esquire magazine in an interview published Sunday.
McCain, who announced last month that his memoir The Restless Wave will come out in April and cover parts of his 2008 presidential run, said Clinton cannot rewrite history.
Whats the fking point? Keep the fight up? History will judge that campaign, and its always a period of time before they do. Youve got to move on, he said in the interview. This is Hillarys problem right now: She doesnt have anything to do.

I think he got over losing before he even campaigned in 2008. I never seen a Presidential candidate endorse his opponent or put his campaign on hold (other than perot).
As the swamp drains there is less water and the alligators are bumping into each other.
“Adding more popcorn to shopping list.”

I like extra butter and salt. Don’t worry, I just double up my statin and lisinopril.
McCain is one who doesn’t know how to shut up.
Look where the black SS agent’s left hand winds up getting The Harpy into the van.
Franken’s got nuttin’ on him.
Mebbe she should tell Gillebrand it’s time to give her seat back.
“The hardest thing to do is to just shut up”. Quite right, senator. The irony of that statement....
To my surprise, I find myself in complete agreement with him when he says, "She doesn't have anything to do." I made exactly the same point some months ago here on FR. She has nothing to do because she's reached the age of 70 and has: (1) absolutely zero skills; and (2) no interests in anything outside the incessant political manipulating that has been the focus of her life for 50 years.
He thinks Hillary is a bigger loser than he is.
Look at me. Look at me! I lost too!
Well, I suppose that this falls under the “Stopped Clock”/”Blind Squirrel” theory.
Like a piece of meat.
Juanmeeds to follow his own advice.
Even better when old women do it....
LOL... I saw no way to top those two digs, and you guys were first!...
I love it when two old democrats fight among themselves!
They, with Kerry, Albright, Sanders, Pelosi, Boxer, and all their senior fellow racists in the hippie democrat-KGB-Black Panther Party are fighting their glorious youth again as they try to relive the drug-filled ecstasies they think they lived back in San Francisco's "summer of 1967"
McSbamey hasnt gotten over it. Why should she?
Someone should heed their own advice.
YES! INDEED! McShame THREW the 2008 election to Obammy the Ilegal Alien
and
Romney (after he won that first debate) THREW the 2012 election to the IslamoNazi saboteur, too
someday we will find out if SorozNazi paid McShame and Romney to throw those two elections, or if they just did it on their own (but why?)
Shows that camo democrats like McCain are also trying to push Hillary away.
McStain knows that the more Hillary talks, the better the chance DJT wins by a bigger landslide in 2020.
At the time, I figured it indicated she was in real distress. Asked my dad, who has been with Mom for 50-odd years and in more than a few tough spots with her, if she'd ever lost a shoe.
"You mean like, get stuck doing a one-legger down a snowbank and have her boot come off?", was his reply.
I said, "Well, maybe. But the more important thing is that it was completely forgotten about and left behind."
"Nope. Can't even imagine such a thing happening, to her, or any other women that I know."
Good 'nuff for me. Wonder if we'll ever get the whole story, or if we'll even care when we do....
‘She has been manically jabbering nonstop to anyone who will listen about the 93 reasons she lost’
It’s like that Jay-Z song. ‘I got 99 reasons but the truth ain’t one.’
In a bizarre way, it might have ultimately been good. Namely, Obama's election pushed conservatives far enough to start doing something about draining the swamp. And - with hindsight - I've little doubt that Obama would have beaten all comers in '08. There just wasn't any (R) talent to step up. His election forced the cream to the top, though it took awhile.
The Dems are in much the same situation now as the Republicans were in 2006-08. They're still in the circular firing squad stage, and I've not seen them figure a way out of it yet. Fine by me. When their top presidential candidates are a 80-year-old socialist (Bernie) and Hillary-clone scold (Warren), they're in real trouble. 2020 is looking good, as long as Republicans don't revert to form and shoot themselves in the foot.
And, truly, I wish that the American people would get rid of their annoying habit to run right up to the edge of the cliff to get a look over, before taking a few steps back. Sooner or later, they'll misstep.
