A gun control group founded by former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords asked two web hosting companies on Friday to shut down websites selling parts and machines that help make untraceable homemade firearms known as ghost guns.
The Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence asked the providers that host GhostGunner.net and GhostGuns.com to disable the websites for violating the hosting companies terms of service.
The sites sell kits, components and machines that help create homemade semi-automatic weapons. Its legal to build a gun in a home or a workshop, and advances in 3-D printing and milling have made it easier to do so. The kits can be purchased legally for a few hundred dollars without the kind of background check required for traditional gun purchases.
Attorneys for the gun control advocacy group said the homemade weapons are increasingly being used in crimes and asked each of the companies to invoke its policies to help stem the tide of this illegal, deadly behavior.

Free speach for me, but not for thee.
Never let a tragedy go to waist. Especially when you’re profiting from you own tragedy.
More Virtue Posturing.
“Please go out of business so I can look good in the eyes of nut case anti-gun liberals.”
No evidence whatsoever that one of these weapons was ever used in a crime or in an illegal manner.
Yeah. Show me ONE.
Anyone with the skill and motivation to build one of these, is not likely to go through all that trouble to use it in a crime, when one can just steal a gun with a lot less effort.

So which is it? First paragraph says “purchased legally,” second paragraph, “ this illegal, deadly behavior..”
The Federal Firearms Act of 1968 is very specific as to the legality of making yourself a gun for your personal use. Everyone should avail themselves of the ability to make themselves a rifle or pistol.
Giffords needs help to eat her oatmeal so I don’t put a lot of stock in what her handlers claims she wants. Sorry to leftists for being so blunt.
The attorneys use weasel language, or at least the AP does, “increasingly used in crimes”. No evidence provided; of course, they don’t have to show you any steenkeeng evidence.
Never heard of this site, but I am happy they brought it to my attention. This site has the exact configuration for an FDE upper I have been looking for.
And how many of these guns were used in killings?
See? Giffords isn’t useless after all!
I bought their jig. And for anyone interested, a complete moron could finish a lower with that jig. I was amazed at how easy it is.
Yes, they do seem confused in this one.

You see this at work on the news every night. The only Fox commentator who really lays into the Liberal Liars is Tucker Carlson, particularly when he has these fatuous Beaners on, lying about Illegal Immigration. Liberals know that they can usually get away with stating “ as facts” stuff that is provable as bald-faced lies. The worst of the bunch is this Mexican A$$hole, Fernando Hernandez, whom if believed, you’d want all of Mexico to move here tomorrow because of all of the “good” every last illegal is doing here, and how they are net contributors to our economy.
As a public service, here’s one site;
You don’t even have to have a mill now.
So true...
That’s the case with other gun categories too.
I can only think of a very few what I would term crimes committed using “Assault type” weapons, and yet they go bonkers obsessing over them.
Granted, the guy in Las Vegas didn’t do us any favors...
There is no paper trail if the weapon is stolen or purchased on the black market.
