Thanks.

“U3 U6 U9+ (shadowstats uses the same calculations as used to determine unemployment during Great Depression) it is generally accepted that unemployment during Great Depression was 23%-24%. Using the same calculation, we have been running 24%-26% for the last 7 yrs. Unemplyment is just now starting to go down.

Obama owns the Greater Depression.”

Thanks for those numbers !

And IIRC, the Great Depression lasted 7 years also...

Yes, they did, last year, but didn’t report it because it would make Obama last year.

Being here in the belly of the beast in Socialist Southern California, I can tell you we have rampant homelessness. This is due to Jerry Moonbeam Browns order to release people out if prison on “minor” drug offenses. The massive homeless increase came soon after. 90% of Californias homeless are drug addicts incapable of paying a mortgage or rent.

Is U3 an accurate correct number to use to represent unemployment?
*************************
As I recall, the U3 only includes those drawing unemployment wages and people still actively applying for work. The U6 includes those PLUS the unemployed who have dropped out of searching for work and those whose unemployment wages have expired. ...Thus, the U6 is more accurate and much higher; which explains why the Obama Admin. always used the U3.

I don’t think the taxpayers can bear the cost of so many homeless - that was the rationale for closing some of the institutions. With this opioid epidemic there would be even more - and less people bearing the expenses.
